Still timing out alongside other players and getting disconnected from tables randomly (with no hope of reconnecting, seemingly).

+1 to the computer restart. I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software a few times earlier today, and it still wouldn't open. After I restarted the computer, it opened up just fine. I would be in no hurry however. There are still connection issues hampering the games.

Just saw this from about an hour or so ago!
Bovada
Our ongoing poker issues are intermittent and we are doing our best to resolve. They are not a direct result of the earlier high volume, which has subsided, but of the impact to our internal systems. In no way are your funds in any danger. They remain safe and secure.

In regards to our poker tournaments, we will be looking to credit anyone who was unable to complete a tournament they registered in during these technical issues. Once all issues resolved, it may take us up to 36 hours to reconcile and credit. If you have been unable to finish participation in a tournament during the affected timeframe and you do not receive a credit by noon (12:00 PM ET), Sunday, April 28th please contact our customer service team at 1-888-263-0000 or service@bovada.lv.

So I just FT'd the 100$ buy in 10k and unfortunately got 7th place but I had noticed previous to busting that I had been re-imbursed for my buy in….After I busted I I was not given my full prize…be careful on what you play for the site

We all need to readjust our standards, but I do wish Bovada had a real rep here, not some outsourced affiliate or w/e shill posts from time to time.

I will say anyone playing for a living on Bovada needs to take an honest look at themselves, but I think most that are playing for income there have a pretty good attitude about it. I do worry about the people who randomly show up here complaining about needing a $500 check that bounced, that scares me. But I imagine most of those grinding out money on Bovada understand their rolls could disappear and/or they could have issues getting their money in a timely manner. Now that hasn't really been the case as of late, but it has to constantly remain in the back of your mind.

I play on Bovada for fun, because I enjoy playing poker and it's a good way to kill some time. It's a more lucrative hobby than pretty much anything else I could think of doing.

I've taken an honest look at myself. What are you referring to?

Sure bovada is my lionshare of income but if they go down I will adapt.

I saw 40k disappear so I am well aware of risks.

The main point is that you can take anything you want from me but you can never take my ability to make money playing online poker.

That's what I learned from blackfriday.

Are there any regular (weekly/monthly) Omaha PLO or hi/lo tournies with a guaranteed prize pool greater than $1,000?

What I keep coming back to is how bad/janky online poker is now, ESPECIALLY compared to the FTP/PS days pre-BF. I guess I don't know much about poker on Bovada, but are the higher limit games really that good on here to justify putting up with it? If you're making six figures or whatever, sure you put up with a lot if you're just printing money, but are there people grinding out $30K a year on here?

Not trying to offend anyone (though I can see I might be - sorry if so), just curious.

It is what it is sorta speak.

We have Bovada, Merge, Winning, Revolution.

If you want to play those are your only legitimate options and none are great.

Unfortunately there is no Pokerstars in that group so you either play on a inferior site or you dont play at all.

I like the WSOP main event satellite steps. The super satellite $35+3.50 buy in with every $500 winning a satellite ticket into a main event
direct buy in 15k package is pretty good value. There are $75 steps also.

Looks like some good thought went into these, and a little run good can get you a shot at playing for a real seat.

At least for me anyway, and ive hardly played any here since the tables went anonymous.

Theres been some interesting comments the last few pages, and some of its got me thinking that yeah, there are still ( a few ) usa players who expect everything the way it was back in the day. Its gotten to the point almost if you say anything good about a site, someone is going to call you out as a shill.

I seen a $50 omaha hi/lo tourney running last weekend with $7 satellites. Was that a one time thing or what?

Some tournaments were stopped/cancelled and paid out by the cancellation policy that the network has in place. Other tournaments ran out and guarnatees were honored. Refunds and bonuses will be issued to players by noon eastern time on Sunday. If you do not receive these, or if you do not feel you were fairly compensated, then please contact your operators support after noon on Sunday.

The network does apologize for these issues.

Agreed. I wonder what amount of players on Bovada are serious/pro players. If my choices were playing pro on Bovada or not playing online (for a living), I don't think I'd play. I don't crush games though, so obviously it's a bit different. The question for me revolves around people who are smart/talented enough to make a reasonable salary playing online poker, but could just as easily make as much or more in a "day job" but choose to deal with the bumps and drawbacks of playing on Bovada. It's a very different decision than playing someplace more organized/legitimate IMO or even live.

The connection issues the last day or two are a prime example. You have no way of knowing how long that's going to go on (i.e. 2p2's own hackergate) and if it's down for an extended period of time, how do you deal with that?

They give you the next $25 after you reach the next level. So you have until Monday to get it still.
