Did you request a cancel? Or did they do it themselves?

Checks are great. I've never had any issues with them. I prefer them. Some personal tips:

1) Use a MAJOR BANK (where you already have an open/active checking account).. I would personally avoid depositing at a regional bank or local credit union. Major (National) Banks already have pretty robust networks in place and clearing times should be short/normal. It's not that smaller banks and CUs shouldn't eventually clear your check.. they just don't particularly have those resources dedicated like the big banks already do.

2) I know we're advised to deposit via ATM but this doesn't work for me and I feel like they say this just to make sure you don't say something stupid to the teller. I guess if you can successfully deposit via ATM then go for it but I would just go in during business hours, smile at the teller, hand them your check/ATM card/ID and let them know you'd like to deposit to your already open checking account.

3) They (teller) may make a comment about the check being from up north (prbly because they stare at checks all day and a northern check might be interesting to them), doesn't matter.. if you think you need to -or feel more comfortable this way- just say that it's payment received for Consulting Work or Freelance Design (of any kind). As long as the check is in US funds (and it is) there isn't anything they can do about it, so have no fear.

4) The funds are good, the check will clear - Just make sure you follow the above to ensure normal clearing times. Only reason you might have issues is if your particular account is already flagged by your bank for some other unrelated issue(s) you may have with them.

Oh and, idk about other banks, but my particular big bank does charge me a small "Up North DEP ITEMS @ 5.00 PER ITEM" fee - small price to pay for a next business day clear imo.

$5.00 bucks on my end is no biggie to me on a max check, but (unrelated) it sucks now that I (and apparently most of us who did) no longer receive one free check/month. That $50.00 Bovy fee is pretty decent rake.

I've never used VFF and from what I've seen in this thread I kinda cringe at the thought of using it going forward - even when things get all cleared up. And with a reduced max to 2.4K, any additional max monthly VFF withdrawal beyond the first in a calendar month will now incur a 2.1% fee ($50/$2400). As someone who watches his margins pretty closely this doesn't particularly sit well.

Given the recent processing debacle and the fact that the max withdrawal amounts for both methods aren't that high to begin with, I feel like they should reevaluate their processing fee policies - something like dropping the fee to $25.00 per check and/or additional monthly VFFs.

The problem I have is I live in a smaller town and bank at a smaller bank. They always ask whats the check for what company sent it to you. Which is fine. Last time they sent one they sent it to collections and charged me $75 and took 5 weeks to clear.

Bank size doesn't mean anything. Sometimes some of the smaller banks won't take a check or ask questions. But the majority will probably just send it to collections. Also i have found that credit unions tend to have more success and are less nosy about your money.

Still nothing this is unreal!!!
I keep hearing how great and trustworthy Bovada is, Why cant they make this right then?
Paying out everybody that has cashed out after March15th and just leaving all of us hanging that cashed out before that is bull****!
How long was the longest anybody has waited for a withdrawal from Bovada?

I called CS this morning. I was getting concerned because I'm moving and will be closing my bank account where the VFF is going to. 1,000 since March 3. Anyway, they put me on hold a couple times. The lady was very nice and she contacted the withdraw department. She said it should hit in the next day or 2. Some people apparently have already received theirs from same time frame, early March. I saw a post on here from earlier that said they were told may or June before it would be rectified so I asked about that and she said that info is absolutely false.
Hopefully that helps

I've been waiting since February 7. Was told by an agent today, that the technical error should be over in May some time. I'm livid

Obviously, pay attention to the chat box. You can't play an hour without hearing how it's "unreal."

The longest I ever waited was back in the summer of 2012 or 2013 when they had major processing issues, I think it was 3-4 months from when I requested the check to when I received it. At the time everyone was freaking out and saying it was because of the DOJ, its another full tilt, they are going out of business etc etc. After a few months the backlog ended and checks starting coming 1-2 weeks like normal.

Not sure how relevant that is to now, but every-time this has happened in the past it has worked out fine.

My regional bank just increased their foreign check fee from $5.50 to $112 and takes anywhere from 2-5 weeks as well. They told me I was one of three customers that actually use that service and it was extremely unprofitable for them because they had to out source the service to a bigger bank. They actually suggested I use another bank for the checks from now on - Obviously I have opened an account at different bank since and use the regional for my personal stuff and the national for poker only.

I have a check on the way (approved April 4, usually takes about 7 to receive) and i deposit them in a major bank and the money is always available the next day, I can even take up to $250 cash the same day, $5 fee and a free lolli pop. You couldn't pay me to attempt a VFF withdraw.

I'm still waiting for a VFF that was processed on 3/10.

I spoke with customer service around 3:30 this morning and was told the same technical glitch line. She indicated SOME people had been credited and didn't know so I should check my account again. I asked her if she ever forgot a $1000.00 was deposited in her account in her lifetime? She started laughing and said good point. I should be patient and if nothing shows in a week to call back.

At this point, I would take a credit back to my Bovada account and jump for joy. I'll pay the $50 for the check and move on.

I think I'm gonna bug support & try to get them to waive the $50 fee since the only reason I'm requesting check is the delay and lack of transparency surrounding the delay with VFF.
Check received 4/6 and deposited 4/7. I, unfortunately, only have a local credit union because of my disdain for larger banking institutions and they sent the check to collections. Funds are pending with a note they should be fully available 4/19. Also, an $8 charge.

Tomorrow I think I'll spend a couple hours doing the call and hang up at the 50 second mark method and try to get the real bovada staff on the phone to figure out when the $1100 VFF is coming and try to get the $58 refunded to me + some tournament tickets or cash for the wait and poor customer service.

A couple pages back someone said that if the phone rings longer than 50 seconds it automatically kicks it to the call center (so no one that can actually help you). He also recommended to try to speak to a male rep because all the female workers are low level/call center. I think he said the guys name was Alex that helped him and pushed through a VFF the same day.
