I called support, and while they were very helpful on just about everything else (including alternative ways to deposit), regarding the card issue they basically just said "try again repetedly, you can try up to 10 times a day. Success rate varies".

During my call with them I also received an email from my bank for "fraud protection" asking me to recognize the charge. I did, then they told me to reprocess payment again, which with no success.

Anyone else having issues with depositing with a Visa? Thanks for any assistance.
Call your bank back and tell them to enable international transactions. That worked for me a while ago with an old bank account I had, but I wouldn't deposit again in the future with my debit card though since there's been cases of fraud charges originating from former bovada processors (several posters have reported this).

deposited 1k check from the east today. Inside the bank the teller said she had never seen a check like this before and asked if I had deposited this type before. I said no, it was an online affiliate payment, but I'm sure the funds are good because other people reported they had no problems at their bank. She asked if I wanted to put a hold on it, but I said no I don't think that's necessary. Hopefully there's no issues with it.

The only options they are giving me to withdraw are Money Transfer or a credit to my CC of $2500 a month for free. Additional credits to my credit card are $50 fees each. I have only used a CC to deposit. At the stakes I play it's not enough of a limit and the fees really hurt.

How do you get to be eligible for a check withdrawal? What are the fees associated with it? I have a large balance on and would like to get some of it off.

I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to request a check. Just give Bovada a call. They will help you out - very helpful costumer service line.

I'm going to assume you're in NY?

No I am not. I did call customer service, and the agent I got didn't seem very informative. She said a check was beyond her "department" and my only options were credit card credit or money transfer.

If you do get a check, what are the fees and limits?

$3,000, 1 free a month and $50 after that. If you're in Washington (didn't notice Seattle the first time) you are probably unable to get checks like NY since online poker is technically illegal in your state (could be wrong?).

Received: 9/26, 10:00am (San Jose, CA)

Will deposit soon and hopefully with no problems, but the Check looks pretty legit.

Yes that was the reason given. Seems silly to me if they're facilitating the game anyway, but what can I do. Change of address maybe...

Why exactly are you wanting checks? You only get one free check a month. After that, it's $50 each check. Since you can't get checks, they're offering you that exact same fee for other withdraw options.

Off the top of my head, reasons he may not want CC payments:

Getting tens of thousands of dollars of "refunds" to a credit card would probably not look all that good either.

For me would cut out my 1.5% cashback rewards since I'd be spending positive balance funds rather than credit.

Getting paid a lot of poker winnings, to a credit card, would likely result in one having to (or at least being very tempted to) spend that money on consumer related junk rather than have access to say... saving or investing it as easily.

^ Not to mention the CC option seems to take forever to process and checks come in days generally.... Both the CC and WU option are not ideal for online poker if you withdrawal a lot. With that said, it's better than nothing in his situation.

Requested payout and check was delivered in about 2 days. Tried to deposit using ATM, but ATM couldn't read check. I contacted Bovada and they assured me the check was good. So I tried with teller and she says that she thinks it's a fraudulent check. I go ahead and deposit it, and 2 weeks later in comes back and bank charges me $35 return check fee. Bovada fed me some bs about printing errors on the check. They credited the check amount back to my account, but are giving me trouble about reimbursing the $35 returned check fee.

Was hoping to pull out 7500 via bank wire. If anybody could tell me what kind of fee I should expect from my bank it would be much appreciated.

Interesting. Same thing here. ATM couldn't read the check. I took it to the teller last week. I haven't heard back yet about it not going through so I just assumed it's good.

Can someone please tell me what HUD works with Bovada cash games? I've been asking around quite a bit and haven't gotten any answers.

I really don't want to have to make a thread just for this, so if someone could please tell me that'd be great.

Do you have to go through this process if you deposit via a Visa gift card and request a paper check for payout? This seems a little intrusive.

Quote:
Prior to issuing your payout, you may need to complete one Credit Card Verification Form for each credit card you use to deposit. Enter your account information on the form, then print, sign, and date it. Additionally, make an imprint of your credit card by placing it under the printed form and lightly rubbing a pencil over the top of it. Fax the completed form to 1-888-743-2269 or email it to verification@bovada.lv, along with the following documents:

A photocopy of your government issued photo ID (e.g., your driver's license).
Photocopies, front and back, of your credit card.
To ensure the form is legible, set both the photocopier and the fax machine on the lightest possible setting.
