Does anyone know why Bovada will allow a wire transfer for customers in certain states, but not others? I'm from NJ and they told me I'm ineligible because of that.

I received a max wire in NJ last week.

Thanks for contacting Bovada Customer Service.

We understand that you'd like to request for a wire transfer.

The option for wire transfer payout is not available due to the jurisdiction enforced in your state.

i gotta admit i think the wu and mg fees are unaceptable considering theres checks bouncing. if the only way to get your money without worrying about that is wu or mg they need to lower the vig to a reasonable level.

I requested a check on Nov 5th received it on, or about, the 12th. Got the tracking for it on the 25th...,lol

I deposited a check from the North on 11/27. The funds still haven't been made available and the last time I did this it took about a week. I am hoping it doesn't bounce.

(side note: when you deposit, some banks hold it for up to 8 weeks! use the bank that rhymes with Face. Mine was available in 2 days.)

Tried to cash check at a check cashing place. They attempted to call the bank in (x Asian country), failed to reach them (I told them it was probably like 2AM there), and as such would not cash the check.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I don't have a bank account at the moment and kinda need the money.

Might try writing it over to a friend and deposit in in his account, but I do recall a slip of paper sent along with the check that said something like "please only deposit this in your account".

The teller said that he couldn't cash it unless he could get in touch with the (X Asian Country's) bank. I assumed that is the entire company's policy but I dunno.

Open a free checking account and deposit it. I use ---- and all my checks have cleared from Bovada and all the funds are made available the day after I deposit the check.

Also, you're not going to be able to write the check over to your friend.

Anyone have issues cashing canadian checks? I cashed out a smaller check at the beginning of the month (canadian) and now my 2nd check which was much larger (almost 3k) is taking much longer from the collections department of my bank. Kinda nervous it won't go through.

Wasnt really worried about it bouncing. I've never cashed a check this big before and it is from a different company name then the canadian check I cashed earlier this month. So I wonder if the collections dept of my bank might see this as some type of red flag or something and decide to hold the funds or research the issuer of the check to see if the source is legit. I'm prob just worrying too much though.

by "they tell you"... i meant Bovada, not the bank.

get a bank account or don't w/d via check. your only chance is a last second suckout endorsing to a friend...
