Hey, got a question for anyone out there. I had an old bodog account from years years ago, pre black friday, and didn't play on there since 2005 December.

Anyhow, about 3 weeks ago my friend said bodog will take american monies. Mind you, I haven't played online since Pokerstars kicked us out. I threw on a few $$ and made a little extra on top, not much, $200. Requested check on 8th , track # on the 13th and when I initially entered the track #, USPS track had no record of the #. I waited a few days until saturday and checked again, this time the status was DELIVERED!

According to bodog, someone would be required to sign as it's priority mail. I called USPS and given info, she couldn't tell me anything. I asked why she has no way of confirming that the mail was signed for. Unbelievable. So, now I have to file a claim to find out where exactly is the mail.

I called bodog to confirm they sent it to the right address and let them know what's up. I wonder how much trouble it will be to have them re-issue... brb, guess I'll email them and see.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I'll certainly keep anyone who's interested, up to date.
bump please, if anyone has some feedback

I can only say that your situation is an aberration. This seems like a normal shipping error or problem that could occur anytime using delivery. Id feel pretty confident that Bodog will try to correct any error that happened on their side and help you try to straighten it out. GL.

i had a check recently go not delivered and it was stated wrong address. I called the shipping company, gave them the tracking number, gave them my name and address they said they could either send it to that address within 3 bussiness days or i could come in and pick it up in 3 hours. i picked it up, just needed valid I.D.

not sure if that helps, but it was pretty painless

Thanks for the replies, I guess it must be some sort of freak occurrence and I'm still waiting on word from the post office (lol, they probably don't give a ####).

I did receive an email from bodog:

Quote:

I know it's a small amount, I was curious as to see how the whole process would work, including depositing and clearing. Needless to say it hasn't gone well yet, and to think I still have to worry about clearing the check too lol.. Anyways, I'm hoping if it doesn't turn up, they can reissue it to me. I'm still appalled by the post office's incompetence, that's crazy.

Im curious why you would call the post office? What do they have to do with anything? Who was to deliver your check?

I called the post office due to the fact that the check was mailed priority, meaning that it requires a signature by a person in the home to be delivered. Using the tracking # emailed to me initally by Bodog when I requested the cashout, according the USPS website (and the customer service woman I spoke with), it was confirmed delivered to my address.

The customer service woman has no way, supposedly, of finding out who signed for it. So, they're "investigating" the matter as well.

All the dude ever wanted, was his check. lol.

You sure you didnt post in the wrong thread mistaking this for the Merge Payout thread? 2-3 months for your check is not considered smooth when compared to everyone elses experience fwiw.

Hello 2+2 dudes,

I just joined the site today, although I have been a frequent reader of this site for the last couple months. I used to play frequently on P-stars until the DOJ took them out. I now play pretty much exclusively at B-Dog. Anyways, I finally won some decent money and recently requested a cash-out of $4500 to be paid by wire transfer. It's been 6 business days and no action in my bank yet. I am pretty broke and really need this money.

What is the latest news with Bo-Dog's wire transfer ability. Should I be holding my breath for this money, or am I probably gonna get screwed? I did request a check payout of $650 last month and got it in a timely fashion (about 7-8 days). The checked cleared my bank no problem. Maybe I should have requested a check for the $4500. However, I heard that B-Dog has rubber check issues and figured a wire would be quicker and could not bounce.

Any feedback on (preferrably positive) on B-Dog's ability to wire semi-large funds (5K-ish) to American bank accounts would be delightful. I bank with BofA, if that matters...

Thanks for your input guys!

Usually if you are in good standing with your bank they'll release the funds to you before the check actually clears. It has happened numerous times where someone thought their checked cleared only to have it bounce a week later. I know if I deposit a check from Asia in the morning it will be part of my available balance in the afternoon.

I would say if you wait 1 week you're usually in the good. Wait 2 weeks and 99+% chance it clears.

My last wire attempt to that USA bank (a couple of months ago) didn't go through. Not sure if it was a processor or bank-related issue. On my latest wire attempt, I had to give them a new bank account to try. We'll see how that works out. That said, I think the checks are moving pretty quickly recently. I've never had one bounce. Honestly, I think in your shoes, I would've requested a wire for $2500 and a check for $2000.

Darn, this is really discouraging news! So, what you are saying is that you are still waiting on a money via a wire attempted over two months ago, yikes. I definitely should have gone with the 2500/2000 split you are recommending. I figured since their $650 check cleared that the wires would work as well. I knew that I should have just requested a check as that method has been proven to work for me.

How come you have requested a second wire transfer to a new account rather than a check, Cobalt? How long ago did bo-dog approve the second wire request for you? This has me very nervous...any advice on how to deal with bo-dog, whom to talk to in their customer service department??

Thanks,
spoad

Oh, I apologize for not being more clear. The first wire issue was resolved. It did take about a month, but once it became clear the wire had failed, they replaced it quickly with a check. I've heard that wires since then are going better.

As for requesting another wire, I'd requested a check already this month and wanted to avoid a fee if possible (you get one free check and one free wire per month).

They actually have really helpful customer service. In fact, they just called me and said they were having some trouble with the new wire info (apparently my secondary bank uses an intermediary on international wires that's an investment bank...and they can't go through investment banks?). Anyway, so I'm probably going to go open a checking account with another bank and see if it'll work.

Thank you for getting back to me on this Cobolt! I really don't have a month to wait on this wire. Perhaps I should cancel it and request a check (it's only been 7 business days since I was approved for the wire). I am kicking myself right now for now just request a check in the first place. It appears that most people, myself included, are getting checks pretty quick from Bodog. The wire situation is making me a little nervous. Bodog's customer service has been polite but unhelpful in terms of giving me any concrete information on the status of my wire...I really thought the wire would be quick when I did, but I guess that is not the case...

I have made 7 or 8 withdrawals since moving my play here at the end of April. No big problems. Average about a week for a check. Haven't done any wires. Only one check got delayed - took about 3 weeks. Not sure what the problem was, but when I contacted CS, they responded quickly and had the check in less than a week after.

funny...i requested a check august 21, check did not clear, they put the funds back to my account and i requested that same payout sept. 11, and i want to make another payout request this month. To make sure i wont get charged for the 50 dollar fee for 2nd check in a month, bodog says the fee will be issued if i request the check. Even though the payout request sept. 11 was due to a check that did not clear from the original request i made in august....interesting....
