I'm using it going from bovada>block chain>circle>checking account. I think this is still OK?

I have a 7 hour old transaction from Ignition with no confirmations. There was a fee attached. I'm not sure why the network is so slow. There are over 53,000 unconfirmed transactions. Is this ever going to confirm?

Circle has quit acting as a bitcoin exchange. They don't want to buy or sell bitcoin going forward.

If you have bitcoin in your account you can convert it to USD one last time, but after that you can't switch back to using bitcoin there.

Thanks! I just get so confused. I thought I read if we were using circle as a means to cash out to our bank that it was ok (bovada >blockchain>circle>bank).
Thanks for answering and sorry for so many questions.

Probably. Like you said the network is backed up, so it depends on how large the fee was. If it hasn't already confirmed you can PM me the transaction and I'll look at it.

Does the transaction have confirmations?

If yes and it's not credited after having 3+ confirmations then you should contact Coinbase.

If no, then it means more waiting for the bitcoin network to confirm it. That will depend on the fee used. You can PM me the transaction if you want me to look at it.

Anyone sending bitcoin right now from a wallet that allows you to set the fee should go slightly larger than normal just to be safe.

On Blockchain.info click the "Advanced Send" link when you're filling out the transaction info.

Be careful and double check that you have the right amount of leading zeros on there... it should be something like 0.00023 with three zeros after the decimal.

In some cases it will suggest more than 0.00023, if so just bump it slightly from that... but for right now if you want it to confirm quickly you probably shouldn't use a fee less than 0.00023.

My blockchain account showed (10 AM EST) that I had my $5k in it that I had w/d a few days so I went ahead and tried to ship it over to my Coinbase wallet. So now it's said unconfirmed for like 12 hours (0/3) confirmations --- but then I looked at the actual received transaction from Ignition and it also says it is still at (0/3) confirmations -- so I'm confused as to wtf the status of this money is. How did I create this transaction for money it appears I didn't actually receive in the first place --- is it some kind of preloaded thing? Because in my wallet it looked clear as day that I already had the money.

Same pretty much. Must be a slow period for miners or something I have no idea. This does happen from time to time, Id say nothing to worry about. Maybe the mining fee from whomever was set too low, so it's extremely low priority.

It's really frustrating having a decent amount of my roll bouncing around on some obnoxiously volatile currency (with way more potential downward than upward) when I didn't even need to mess around with this **** --- just thought it would be quick and easy.

Without looking at yours specifically... yes, it would be possible to broadcast a transaction from your wallet before the incoming transaction from Ignition had confirmed.

The only thing that means is that the outgoing transaction from your wallet won't confirm until the one coming in from Ignition does. Nothing to worry about there. They could both end up happening at the same time.

If for some reason the incoming transaction from Ignition doesn't get confirmed then eventually both of them will be dropped and Ignition will have to send your withdrawal again.

Yes, there is a backlog of transactions that all paid around the same fee. If your transaction is in that group or below you'll have to wait for it to clear up.

If you're making a transaction now and pay a slightly higher fee you'll jump ahead of them and get confirmed first.

Hopefully the people that Ignition has sending withdrawals know this and use a large enough fee to get quick confirmation.

I just moved BTC to blockchain and then moved BTC from blockchain to circle using an old address with no issue

Just cashed out the Circle funds in USD to my bank account.

I finally got my transaction confirmed after 1,044 minutes (17.4 hours). Ignition had sent me $3,000 with a fee of 0.003199. This fee was the equivalent of about 5 satoshis per byte, which ended up being way too low at the time. We went from over 60,000 unconfirmed transactions to just over 26,000 at the moment, so the miners have been working hard in the last couple of hours.

I have been reading through the cashout threads of both Ignition and ACR. It seems that Ignition is providing quicker and more reliable withdrawls?

Is there anyone in this thread that has experience on both Ignition and ACR and confirm for me that Ignition is the better site to use for this reason?

Does Ignition try to verify the BTC wallet address or will they send it to any BTC address I provide? No questions asked?
