So I've been depositing/cashing out semi-regularly on Bovada for several years. I have VIP status (no idea what I did to get it), so my deposits have been matched 100%, up to $200, weekly for years.

Yesterday I got an email from Bovada VIP saying that's ending effective August 11. Anyone else get this?

So why wouldn't you just deposit $200 every week for the past several years and get the 100% bonus? Is that what you have been doing?

Not really. I deposit when I need to do so. I play recreationally, so I'll do well in a MTT for example, cash out some but leave $300-$500 in to play with. If I blow it, I'll make another deposit when I know it will be matched. I don't have the budget to put $800+ a month in no matter what just to get the match.

Plus you have to hit, I think, 600 points before you can withdraw any money that was part of that "$400" deposit.

So people can't watch the tables with the fish and wait for a seat to open. It probably doesn't hurt that it helps hide how much traffic they really have too.
