Nice. I googled how to do this - and used 8.8.8.8 and now works fine

Comcast - INDIANA

I changed to google DNS and it fixed the issue.
On Windows 7 and wireless I followed this youtube video.

Works for me now! Ty whoever figured this out.

Is this an issue that can be fixed so random fish that don't want to go through the hassle can log on in the coming weeks?

Youre kidding right?

Yes, they block a ton of countries.

Only a few countries are permitted to play poker on Bovada and Bovada respectively.

Your whole post is silly and ill informed tbh.

Anyways, Im done, you guys win. Please feel free to log into Bovada from IP accounts in random foreign countries.

Have fun.

It's clearly a comcast dns issue. Comcast has a host of dns servers around the country. I was using 68.87.77.130 but many use 75.75.75.75. All resolve normal dns requests, thus the conundrum that many (including myself) faced all day. No doubt they will resolve it on their own at some point but using a public dns server, e.g., 8.8.8.8 or the original I posted - as well as a host of others - will do the trick for the moment.

As an aside, one my systems had no issues logging on all day, it's just not my laptop which is inconvenient. I only truly confirmed the issue by using TOR and everything worked fine under TOR which confirmed the dns issue.

Glad to be of help.

I did this 8.8.8.8 thing too , it worked . You guys are awesome.

It seems like I'm browsing faster too , do you guys seem like internet pages load much faster?

Anyway , whos fault is this DNS issue? Why did this happen and who has the power to resolve it bovada or comcast?

The DNS thing would be Comcast's issue. I wouldn't doubt that Google's DNS servers (8.8.8.8) would be faster. Who knows what the hell Comcast is doing. If they are filtering via DNS then they have some sort of filtering server behind their DNS servers that have to filter every single connection coming through and either allow through or block. That's going to take a lot out of a connection.

lol, pretty sure if you read the thread it's been proven that Comcast is filtering the sites via DNS.

YAY...worked for me on Comcast too. And it does seem a tad faster for other pages too.

FWIW I am using Comcast DNS servers and am having no problems logging into Bovada at the moment. I was also logged in earlier Friday evening without any issues. Perhaps it is only certain Comcast DNS servers (they have many).

Good point about keeping the fishes around.

Someone should email Comcast and tell them what the problem is.

I'm busy baiting my hook.
