XL Eclipse Main Event Champ Roman “Romeopro33” Romanovskiy Wins the Whale

It’s been a good week for Ukraine’s Roman “Romeopro33” Romanovskiy. Last week, he took down the XL Eclipse Main Event for $187,500, and this Sunday he topped a 68-entry field (48 unique + 20 re-entries) to win the $1,050 buy-in, $50K GTD Whale.

Among those to compete for a piece of the $68,000 prize pool were Stephen “Kale333” Van Zadelhoff, Arseniy “josef_shvejk” Karmatskiy, and Simon “Isildur1337x” Mattsson, though none of them cashed.

Just the top six go paid including “trino11” (6th - $3,740), “MisterN411” (5th - $5,100), “StuntSoHard” (4th - $6,800), and “radasahk” (3rd - $10,200). After just over six hours, Romanovskiy defeated the UK’s “Dioszilla” in heads-up play to win $25,160.

“Ronaldo4112” Comes Out on Top in Sunday Mega Deep

The $215 buy-in, $80K GTD Sunday Mega Deep saw 320 players rebuy 163 times to surpass the guarantee with a $96,600 prize pool. Among the top 40 finishers to win a piece of it were 888poker Ambassador Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot (28th - $647), Mike “Pipedream17” Dietrich (16th - $1,449), Vickers95” (10th - $1,932), and “NoMamesWeyyy” (4th - $7,728).

After Arseniy “josef_shvejk” Karmatskiy bowed out in third place for $10,626, the title came down to Finland’s “VALIUM4WIN” – a recent XL Eclipse champ ( he won Event #22: $50,000 Quarterback for $10,954) – and Malta’s “Ronaldo4112.” After more than 11 hours, the latter came out on top to win an $18,837 first-place prize.

GREAT 8 Ends with Heads-Up Deal

The $88 buy-in, $15,000 GTD Sunday GREAT 8 easily surpassed its guarantee by attracting 180 players who rebought 62 times. That created a $19,360 prize pool paid out to the top 24 spots including “Nemekiss” (21st - $242), “YSoSerious7” (9th - $436), “ZDamian” (7th - $678), and “VnilaVader” (3rd - $2,323).

After 7 hours and 21 minutes, a heads-up deal was struck between Ukraine’s “psyhoagromor” and Lithuania’s “Iamtrying” struck a heads-up deal in which the former took the title and $4,008 in prize money and the latter $3,204.

Back in April, “psyhoagromor” took down the XL Inferno Opening Event for $22,266.

Lithuania’s “Iamtrying” Finds Redemption in Deepstack Monsoon

While he officially finished second in the Sunday GREAT 8, Lithuania’s “Iamtrying” got a title in the $55 buy-in, $10K GTD Sunday Deepstack Monsoon, which drew 180 players who rebought 58 times. The 238-entry field generated an $11,900 prize pool paid out to the top 27 finishers including “carbondating” (26th - $119), “Vulpe3” (13th - $179), “ChipsFool” (8th - $357), and “ghandivan” (3rd - $1,398).

After 8 hours and 35 minutes, “Iamtrying” defeated Russia’s “pokanuktus” in heads-up play to capture the $2,559 top prize.

Lightning Strikes Sweden’s “Raegar97”

The $55 buy-in Lightning 6-Max drew 83 players who rebought 43 times, which meant the $5,000 GTD was surpassed as a $6,300 prize pool was on tap. The top dozen finishers got a piece of it including “IHaveAsthma” (9th - $236), “ZeroNineee” (5th - $441), and “Grozzorg” (3rd - $882).

After 6 hours and 33 minutes in the tournament, Sweden’s “Raegar97” prevailed over Ukraine’s “Enthusiast99” in heads-up play to win a $1,717 top prize. The Ukrainian received $1,150 for his runner-up finish.

What to watch out for:

The 888poker LIVE London is heading to Aspers for a poker festival from November 22 through December 3.
The stop is comprised of 10 events culminating in a £1,100 buy-in, £400K GTD Main Event, which will offer five starting flights and run from Thursday, November 29 through Monday, December 3.

The winner of the Main Event will also claim an 888poker LIVE package for a future festival of his or her choice.

The festival is expected to attract players from across the world, including several making the trek from across the pond including 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Scott Blumstein, 2009 WSOP champ and four-time bracelet winner Joe Cada, 2018 WSOP Main Event runner-up Tony Miles and 3-time (!) winner of the $50K entry WSOP Poker Player’s Championship, a legend of the game – Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi.

Hi, I have been contacted by the 888 MVP team about getting the chance to get in on the program. They keep just asking me to provide evidence that I can afford to play with the kind of funds I used in the casino (I wagered tens of thousands of dollars in the Casino but this was all from my poker funds).
I made a couple of small deposits on 888 in 2011 or 2012 and have not deposited more than $5 amounts since then (to allow withdrawals to a linked paypal account).
I hope this situation can be sorted out as I have a been a loyal player on 888 for many years.
My username on 888 is Regu_1_Lator and I am a winning reg since 2012.

As I understand correctly - it seems to be 888 just changed the format of its player notes file, so it changes to old player notes file useless. Are you serious? I have thousands of notes, they are all gone now?

Yes, we do have Multi Factor Authentication (MFA). Here is how to enable it:

Players can Go to “My Profile” “Personal Details” “Change Password”

1. Log into 888poker with your username and password.

2. Go to “My Profile” -> “Personal Details” -> “Change Password”

3. In the ‘Secure Token’ section at the bottom of the screen, turn the switch on.

4. You will then be requested to re-enter your password, and then save changes.

5. Upon your next attempt to enter 888poker with your username and password, you will receive another blank field where you will need to enter a 6 digit code which you will receive by email. *Please make sure that emails from 888poker are not blocked or going to Spam. If for some reason you do not receive the email, please contact [email protected].

What the hell is going on with 888 software? Client just crashed, ran an update when I restarted, now player notes not showing up, the file is still there but nothing showing on tables???

I have a week or more with client problems.
Crashes when I logging in everytime.
Sometimes asks for update but the same crashes happens.
I have uninstall/install the client many times.

Today, for the first time in a month I did not experience a prolonged disconnection.

However, the client crashed 5 (five) times in a span of 6 hours.

interesting thread. I play with all these accounts and yes had suspicions about drug and uzb, i saw in my tracker uzb winrate is insane when i checked.

After the new update today I have casino buttons in the corner of my tables despite not having the "show casino mini-games by default" button clicked in settings. Anyone else?

BiH isnt more eligible countries on 888.

I called support and they said me i can reopened my account from another country on same name ( with same or different nickname, different because my account is closed ) with appropriate documentation but I do not currently have an option for citizenship of another country.

I hope that I will solve this problem in a few months.

Yes, i know who is bambo_bambo, he is my friend who played earlier on 888 from BiH, jazavac273, and he asked me to write this mail.
We played 888 5-6 years ago, never on the same table because for fair games.

He received same email and he reopened account because he have Croatian citizenship and he is bambo_bambo.

Hes know with my 5 years chat with Bulba and for joke he wrote the same words.

Me, Uskebasi_1, have a huge winrate, almost 20bb+ on nl100-200 for years... he had 7-10bb+ and all others.

before that my username was jazavac273 and zvony_tango7
NN zvony_tango7 I used it on lucky ace poker network
but I stopped playing because the network was off
i continue to play on 888 poker under the new NN jazavac273 until the November 2017.
Then I moved to Croatia for private reasons I could not play poker
On May 2018 a received email that my account is blocked because 888 poker
do not do the service anymore in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
in the meantime, I contacted support and explained to them that now I live in Croatia and wont to activate an account again.They tell me that account Jazavac 273 has been removed forever and can t be activated again,but I can create new Account with my Croatian documents with new Nickname.
