Okay.

First make sure you don't have the stream playing in your web browser (it'll be like stereo stream weirdness).

Have the link copied.

Then fire up VLC.

Click on "Media" then "Convert/Save"

Go to the "Network" tab

Protocol "HTTP" (this may not be necessary since you're going to paste the whole address in the box to the right) paste the link in the box under "Address"

Click "Convert/save" Almost there!

A window that says "Stream Output" pops up.

Check "Play locally" and "File"
This will play the stream and save it at the same time.


Click on "Browse" and go to the place where you want to save the stream. Make sure you have plenty of space!

In the top box next to "Name", name your file (something like wsopfnltbl2009.mp4). Make sure it ends in "mp4"!

Now, on the "Encapsulation" tab, choose "mp4"

Go to the "Video codec" tab and check the "video" box and choose "MPEG-4" in the dropdown box to the right.

Go to the "Audio codec" tab and check the "Audio" box and choose "MPEG 4 Audio (AAC)" in the dropdown box to the right.

Click "Save" at the bottom!

Yay!

If you get stuck anywhere, just tell me, and I'll try to guide you through. These instructions should suffice since I did the steps as I wrote this down, and it works.
