Last years Main Event got about 7,800 players. You can't have even a small percentage of the 7,800 people screwing around or things can get out of hand fast. Messing with other players chips even as a joke in a $10,000 buy in tournament or any tournament for that matter is unacceptable. Same for dropping your pants mooning players.

Next years tournament needs huge signs about conduct violations resulting in DQ. You think at the airport there would not be a reason to put up a sign saying dont even joke about having a bomb and such, but idiots are gonna idiot.

I assume he meant that English not being his first language was a disadvantage when it came to discussing the event with a tournament director.

They love to put "fun" players like Laak, Emmett, Keating, and DN on TV (though personally I find Emmett unwatchable). I think for casuals it is more interesting than seeing GTO robots.

It's a bit ironic because they penalize/change rules due to people like Jamie Gold, Hevad Khan, and Will Kassouf acting out, but then at the same time they have to stretch to find entertaining people to put on TV.

From an integrity standpoint, it's probably good not to have people talking constantly during the hand and dancing around like clowns after every pot, but from a pure entertainment value standpoint they've probably watered down their own product to some extent.
