Generally I'd say it takes more guts to pull the trigger on the river. A common leak of players who don't play aggressive enough is that they're capable of double barreling as a bluff but when they triple barrel it's pretty much always for value, especially in a 3bet pot. I can't speak for how Ott reads Blumstein but that would certainly be an understandable reason for calling turn and folding river even though it was mostly a blank.

makes sense. I guess my style I've fired all three times with stone cold bluff and hero called. But I also played my first so many years almost exclusively Limit holdem and stud so there is that.

Had Pollak raised pre flop I think he gets even less money because then Blumstein is more likely to put him on an Ace. The preflop call there with an Ace was underrated
