While SE was a bit of a sourpuss, the comments the announcers kept making were out and out sexist. "Shannon Elizabeth used to be perky." "He's work out that copy of American Pie," etc.

I have to agree with this. Perkins is such a douche at the poker table. Every televised poker table he is at I dislike him more and more. He was an ass on The Big Game, he acted like a prick to Jason Koon during the Alpha 8 tourney in South Florida and he was coming across as an immature prick during this episode of the Shark Cage. I know people like Perkins because he is "fun", but I think he comes across as someone who knows the rules and ethics but bypasses them because he can get away with being the fun business man.

Also, I think SE acted like a spoiled child too.

Overall, this episode was sort of pathetic and if I was a casual poker fan this would not make me want to play poker. The pros acted pretty childish, but I feel like that is the point of this show, which sucks.

FWIW, I would have never guessed SE was 41 years old... IDK what you guys are talking about when you say she hasn't aged well.

I have played with Shannon and have nothing bad to report about her.

To those that don't know, Shannon has a few WSOP cashes and has $235k in earnings. She made the semis and won $125k at the 2007 NBC HU Championship, defeating René Angélil, Jeff Madsen, Barry Greenstein, Humberto Brenes before losing to eventual winner Paul Wasicka. If she could fade a 7-outer on the river she would have been in the final.

She's even cashed in a seven card stud event.

btw, anyone else is getting the impression that the only reason for pros not to abuse bluff/value cards is the fact that they don't want to be *******s/angle shooters? I'm pretty sure that optimal strategy for using those cards has very little to do with the question whether or not you are actually bluffing.

Agreed...if you compare her to her 25 year old self, then yes, she looks older, but for 41...she's HOT.

She comes off fine except for her reaction to her first caging. Perkins comes off as a douche and his comment about giving her a hug or w/e was creepy as ****. Second time she went to the cage she was smiling and being a good sport about it. Agree with Dom that the commentator's attempts at jokes were pretty sexist.

Also, she looks great, and not just for her age.

Played against SE many years ago in a AU Millions side event and she was fine. I did hear she was dating a relatively well known AU pro (whom I won't name) and she completely cleaned him out. Shopping, clothes, various high life etc and end up pretty much broke. I would be steering clear boys.
