RIP. Hope his family are doing ok.

Miss those old pokernews gals Lynnie G, kristy and Gloria as well after seeing that clip. The new people are just not the same.

I was just randomly reading about LilHoldem when I came across this post. Thank you for sharing. I got into poker later than many and did not know very much about LilHoldem until he passed away. Posts like this are all I need to see to know that he was cool as hell and totally my kind of guy. Genuine acts of kindness like this define a man's character and cement his legacy... so old school, and so missing from today's poker community. Legends never die.

That's a common age for an alcoholic's body to start going to ****. It's more on the extreme sie but it's nothing out of the ordinary. I knew a couple of people who had liver failure in their early 30s. It's probably blacked out drinking every night while mainly drinking hard liquor.\

so as a pokerplayer you are instantly connected from teh getgo pretty much everywhere you decide to move. Maybe we euros just dont mind seeing close family/old friends 2-3 times a year while alot of americans are more family orientated - dunno. But pretty much everybody i met enjoys that lifestyle and wouldnt have it any other way while alot of americans seems to put up with it bc poker is their job but instantly would go back home if they could...

Anyways, enough derail

The thing is poker already attratcs antisocial personalities so you're gonna have lots of really ****ed up people. If you knew other types of ex pats I have a feeling you'd think way differently. It's like that one guy who made 7 million in Canada, that dude did nothing but play poker and lived right next to the US and did absolutely nothing socially. If you looked at a salesman he'd have a totally different lifestyle and be part of the culture and into social scenes.

Come on man I know you're smarter to than to think a bunch of US card players, especially internet players are the best pool of people to make any type of cultural opinion/perspective. These people tend to be natural shut ins, mentally ill and lets face it egotistical ****s compared to normal/healthy people.

You need to study more if you think they represent any type of norm whatsoever or you need to just get away from poker bro. Lets' face it this realm is toxic and changes people for the worse a lot of times.

I just wanted to be here to say RIP. He was the most entertaining person to watch multitable online tournaments back in the day, especially on full tilt when he had a mike Tyson avatar, a huge attitude, what looked like sub par plays, and would knock out a bunch of pros.

RIP chad you will be missed
