They just dont care about poker, and probably wont ever because they dont see it as a real revenue source. If they did, they would bring in the right people, but they dont, so they wont.

If you want to play casino poker in the Tristate area its pretty much Borgata/Parx/Sands/Foxwoods. Everything else is pretty much MEH.

But the scene in NYC is good enough that most players here dont bother with casinos unless its for a tournament series.

I met someone close to the matter and he said Stars was close to sign a deal to run the revel pokerroom but it fell trough so they looked at other options and ended up buying the atlantic club.
