WTF IS GOING ON!!!

Is this the end of online poker in America?

nice breakdown Noah. Yeah, the illegal gambling part is not even close to the worst part of the indictment. Bribing banks and money laundering are much worse offenses.

Also lololol that Scott Tom still owns AP. This is insane.

Perhaps willful ignorance on my part, but I did not realize my deposits/withdrawals were being laundered as 'jewelry purchases.'

NoahSD said, regarding the bribery aspects:

"You don't need to be a lawyer to know that that stuff is unambiguously illegal."

I disagree with this. If what the sites asked the banks to do was legal, which they purport that it is, there is no bribery.

I think the problem with this is you assume all the good American players are just going to stop playing. While surely some will, if you're making $100+/hr now, you're probably going to find a way to play even if that requires moving, or at least start coaching for $40-$50 an hour while you make a career change.

Screw our government, please any players in the DC area start spray painting government buildings. Paint the word criminal on any piece of property owned by the government
