What happened to Bob from big poker sundays anyway? I liked his dark humor.

I check PR for Barry and Ivey updates - I only find the main show good if they have an awesome guest, and even then, it is ONLY because of the guest, not the three clowns goofing off, thinking they are way funnier than they are

Ummm, Two Jacks in the hole is pretty gdm funny imo. Stapes and Huff are good. It reminds me a ton of It's Always Sunny, similar sense of humor and frenetic delivery.

I like Two Jacks a lot.

I just listened to the PR podcast with Stapes hosting and it was very, very good.

They finally have advertising but honestly, I wasnt even 100% sure it was real -- the jingle for Brill Cream. Brill Cream? Really? Is that who is buying time on PRR? Are poker players so despised that selling ads is really that hard?

qft.

I honestly thought the show that had devo, gobbo, and courtney harrington to be SO much better then the shows w/ ali, joe, and gavin.

The pokerroad red pro forum has really slowed down, I hope the pros keep posting, its the best strategy discussion forum since its all by pros who know what they are talking about. You dont have to go through pages and pages of post with no content by micro stakes donks to find the good posts, its all really good stuff. It just used to be a lot more active in the beginning, now its barely one post by day.

maybe op is right, pokerroad is down right now
09-08-2009 , 02:23 AM
I stopped listening when Ali left tbh. He made the show.
09-08-2009 , 02:25 AM
whoops. either an issue or dare i say RIP sebes
09-08-2009 , 02:27 AM
cash plays is back, if you consider replacing a regular cash game grinder with a part time donk "back"
09-08-2009 , 02:30 AM
cash plays is never back with Jeremiah Smith at the helm
09-08-2009 , 03:21 AM
Ivey doesn't care NEmore
09-08-2009 , 03:41 AM
Poker Beat usually worth listening to these days.

Dont think he ever cared really. The PRR crew tries hard to push "Ivey content" but he's not very proactive when it comes to PRR.

Check out Pokerroad Nation and Ivey's Twitter account. He couldnt be bothered but PRR had Amanda updating his account as "Team Ivey"

I really like this site. The poker beat is a really great weekly show also. Two jacks is hilarious. Cash plays is a little rocky now though, since jeremiah smith isn't even good at poker lol. Bart Hansen was awesome, and is still awesome on deuces cracked.

WCOOP radio + two jacks + PRR w/ stapes = great
losing tuesdays w/ ivey, jeremiah smith bringing on random "pros" from his live 5/10 game, all strategy, infrequent prr updates w/o a published calender =

barryg probably got all those guys to post and he probably doesn't wanna keep pestering tourney pros, even though tuesdays w/ ivey broke down, if ivey posted once every 2 months the red forum would be on fire

Some of the pros in there are embarassing anyway. A load of one hit wonders and people like Micon sprinkled on top of a few top pros.

It's that Troll again...he pops up everywhere.

I really think that PokerRoad was a great idea, but I just don't see how they can sustain longterm success. I used to listen to just about every podcast they had(PR Radio, Big Poker Sundays, Cash Plays, Poker Beat) and I've just about lost interest.

I'm sure there are plenty others out there just like me. I've heard Seebs and others say that they really don't make much money from the site and I can't see that improving. I wish them the best but I would be shocked if PokerRoad was still around in a year.

Are you kidding? He is probably the worst person whoever hosted the show. He isn't terrible but Stapes > Huff >>>>>>>>>>>>> Bart >> Ali.

I wish PRR would go back to their roots and have a little more strategy content on the show. They all think that strategy talk is boring and no one wants to hear it, but the strategy is what made the circuit a great show as opposed to a good show.
