Any time I’ve seen Gold in the last 5 years he comes off as just a douchey prima donna.
Shows up has to make everyone move so he has more space, complaining about his seat not being able to see the TV/Stream replay(?)… Dealer tells rando get off the phone at the table, Jaime is on phone many times after this and I guess she turns a blind eye bc he’s “famous”. Finally tells him and he’s like I gotta make Nubo reservations, Nobu, NOBU.

Remember blueberries guys! Can I get a fork for them? I need a fork… can someone get me a fork

Usually there's some terrible people on Day 1, but today we had to be content with two absolute punts from otherwise competent players.

Commentary is meh. Honestly after watching so much Hartigan, Stapes and Sam Grafton this year pretty much any other commentary other than maybe Nick and Ali pails in comparison.

Quit your moaning, we are in a golden era of poker coverage, which during the WSOP is completely free. Sit back and relax.

Only the day 1s and short 'preview' snippets for the later days are free on Youtube. But I agree that the coverage overall this year has improved quite a bit, with some inevitable hiccups, and the coverage of the Main is shaping up to be strong as well. I'm really glad that Ali and Nick are being brought back for the Night Shift.

He wasn’t supposed to go broke with 80 bigs with QQ in button vs small blind vs big blind dynamic going on?

Trying to catch the last couple hours of coverage from last night, can you really not fast forward on the pokergo app on your TV?

I have to watch it on computer so I can fast forward 4 hours?

I hit the ff button and it only jumps like 10 seconds at a time, tried on 2 different TV's.

edit:

I forgot it was on YT also, that I can FF on my TV.

You can’t move a bar down at bottom?

He actually only had about 40 bigs to start the hand so pretty standard to ship QQ there.

Now I suppose the argument could be made that you don't need to put your tournament life at risk with QQ on Day 1 when the blinds go up every 6 hours.

I watch on desktop. I wish they'd add a 10 second forward button.

I think? blinds were at 200/400 button ante 400 and Jamie gold on button raised to 1100, aggressive SB Aziz reraised to 4600. Matros jammed around 32K

I get it’s a long tournament on Day 1 but sitting on half a starting stack later in day have to assume some risk

I don’t get the uproar. The only think I can think of is if he should three bet smaller and that might have been higher EV. But Matros had an awkward stack size.

Gold was CO, but other than that I think that's right.

Polk had more than doubled up early in the coverage, wonder why they didnt make his table the main when they switched.

Pretty sure every subscriber cared more about watching him than Farrah Galfond

I mean people were flatting KK like it was 66 and just outright folding AK.

Against AA he winds up all in anyway, but man it seems like such an over bet that only gets called by hands that beat you.

Those who disagree with play need to specify exactly on what aspect and present alternative lines. But you are right, the money goes in anyway if he three bets small, or should anyway.

Now if we want to discuss what’s higher EV three bet small vs all in some might make the argument that the overbet all in might get perceived as a weaker range. Even if not there are still some calling hands you beat
