Not in the least. I have had messy poker player roomies before and they do nothing but ask for me to clean up after myself. Cleaning up after someone else, when I don't even do that for myself...could be pretty interesting. I like to cook but only on special occasions. Oh, and I would never touch the trash.

So...I think I'd be the most useless annoying personal assistant in the world. Princessy attitudes don't fit the trophy wife/personal assistant, etc. I want a man that will clean up after me and laugh when I throw a temper tantrum. In a perfect world right?

3 things:

1) It's funny that he wants her to be flexible...how has no one commented on that?

2) That legal crap you quoted is meaningless as it only applies to employers with a certain number of employees (I forget the statutory minimum, probably around 12?).

Hmmm...I gave you money in poker I think, it's been a long time. I do remember that thesis though, UGH! All I wanted to do was play cards and I was not influenced to write. People assume I voluntarily dropped out...I was pretty much asked to leave college by my deans. I thought I was taking a break but I found that I enjoy reading more outside of college than being graded to do so.

It works for some people, it never worked for me. I swing like crazy sometimes. I really don't think I could go back. I wanted to practice law for awhile but I would rather disappoint myself possibly losing hands in poker than losing a case while representing someone, especially in civil rights. Working with a social security disability attorney when I was 18 as a paralegal was eye opening and very heart breaking at times when cases were not in the favor of people you grew attached to.

This guy seriously needs to offer some more money. This is a 8 hour at most per week job at $13/hour? What attractive young woman would want to work for a creep doing his dirty work for an extra $100 per week? Oh and she has to be flexible and fit this kid's schedule. No chance.

Alot of the posters in this thread have no understanding of the college student labor pool and what they are willing to do for a buck.

You are right. When I initially went to look it up, I always thought there was some sort of minimum, but reading the law itself it did not say anything. I went back and checked and could not find any minimum listed. But I found other sources that says it applies to 20 or more employees.

So small businesses discriminate away!

Very simple solution IMO...

Contact a nanny agency. Tell them you really need a PA, they send a never ending list of HOTT college girls to your house to see who you vibe with and they do background checks.

Ad kind of goes to far. You could just advertise for personal assistant and suggest college student. Maybe advertise at a little over going rate.
