Thankfully, evolution is consistent, where the only difference is its pace. Who will open my wallet and how much solely depends on their evolution compared to mine. As a consumer it will never be my job/role to deliver a product/service that will be used/consumed. In my case, Ontario going back to the global pool in its current state will be a financial loss to both the service provider and the province.
One thing that's worth mentioning is how the standard of living is measured directly to the choices/options of "job/career and other" opportunities. The more people are in a city there's more "exchange" between producers and consumers, which equals to tax revenue. Las Vegas and Macao are great examples of places that have benefited from offering the type of opportunities that may be unavailable/restricted elsewhere. I've been playing online poker from 2004.
