All time, probably Vanessa Selbst. Famous for her blowups but she has the most results.

Actively playing , probably Maria Ho or Bicknell but I’ll give it to Maria since she has no history of cheating unlike Bicknell.

Agree. I think Bicknell is better but her colluding with her now husband imo makes her overall worse. Maria is just as honest as you can have as a poker player let alone female player.

Good picks. Similar to picking the best player overall, it's hard to quantify who is the "best" in poker, male or female. Kathy Liebert always gets mentioned in these lists, and I agree with the above comment on Annette Obrestad. In her prime, Annette was an online tourney crusher, and was able to have solid live results to match.

Another super solid player is Gaelle Baumann. I just love her style of play, her guts, and her table demeanor -- it's so tough to get any kind of read on her, she's so cool and calm. I was surprised to see her Hendon Mob results were only just above $1 mil in winnings (impressive number, I just expected higher based on her skills).

in poker the best has the most money, that's how we keep score, which man and woman has the most? From playing/winning not endorsements or staking.

Kristen Bicknell seems to be number one right now of modern players. Vanessa selbst is the real number one but she is retired.

Loni Harwood is the #1 female poker player.

Heavily disagree. Jennifer Harmon has to be the best female taking into account active and retired. She was chosen to play in the corporation and at her peak played all the high limit mix games and won.

You could look at the women's all-time tournament money list: https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/ranking/137/.

Selbst, Liebert, Bicknell, Ho, and Obrestad are all in the top 6, along with American's sweetheart, Annie Duke. Harwood and Harman are 10th and 12th, respectively; Baumann and Tilly are 33rd and 44th, respectively.

You do realize the question was about top players and all-time tournament money list is useless at determining that right?

Couldn't anyone give their mom a 2 day Holdem crash course and beat 2002 poker?
(Kind of trolling, kind of not)

I said Mix games. I didn’t say Hold ‘Em. Again she’s played all the MIX games at the highest levels as a winning player during her active career.

Most likely, yes.

One year, we gave a model from South Africa a 1 hour crash course the day before a WSOP Celebrity Tournament. She finished 5th.

This is a fun thread. I like poker bunny a lot and will always root for her because she's different and a spectacle. IMO any spectacle is good for poker. People who don't care about poker will watch her play poker. Hopefully she sparks a lot of copycats in the live games...

Just a thought but maybe she's the very modern version of Jennifer Tilly's cleavage equity.

However, I don't fully get why anyone cares about a scantily-clad hot chick on a stream these days when you can see perfect 10s doing unspeakable things on the internet for free. I'm getting old.

Regarding a hard life--I mean join the club. How many of these perennial degens we see in the casinos every day had perfect lives? I certainly don't wish her ill, but she doesn't care about me and I don't care about her. It's just cool that such a thing as a Poker Bunny exists. I'll always root for the weirdos.

Legend goes she legally changed her last name to Loeliger a few years ago, as a nod to Linus and also to distance herself from her given family name. Paulina has always been her first name.

  • Became an escort
  • Tried to kill herself, went into coma
  • Found poker, got staked by guy who is an accomplished marathon runner
  • Admits she was not winning player in NJ online
  • Spends a lot of time studying but still says she isn't a winner (I assume this is referring to live?). She doesn't really talk about the transition from Online to Live
  • Drama at Bobby's room (she doesn't go into specifics) just says she's a shitty person and yelled some **** at someone that stems from jealousy or something
  • Continues to pursue poker in hopes of making it work because she really enjoys it

I've never listed to this podcast before so I don't know if this is typical but its more so a conversation like a friend or other brother supporting a sibling through a difficult time of need than an interview with an accomplished poker player.
Throughout the podcast she refers to life decisions at optimal/+ev like someone who just turned 18 and has read the Theory of Poker for the first time, or someone who has taken a basic economics class where they begin looking at everything through the lens of opportunity cost.

She's a very odd person and definitely disingenuous as to how she represents herself as some highstakes crusher, but she seems like shes trying to be more introspective and become a better person personality wise. She reminds me a lot of that girl Liberalchick who basically considered herself the **** then disappeared pretty quickly after some minimal success.

I think anyone buying part of her WSOP package (with markup) should be required by stakekings to listen to this podcast as a disclaimer prior to them sending their money.
