His tourney ROI over the last few years is fantastic (I believe Polk made a video about it).

From the button, Daniel Negreanu opened to 15,000 and Doug Polk moved all in from the small blind for 37,500 as Negreanu called.

Negreanu: {K-Spades}{8-Spades}
Polk: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

With Polk in the lead, the {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop would see him needing to fade spades to go along with one of the remaining eights in the deck, but when the {Q-Spades} landed on the turn, his tournament would be over.

The meaningless {4-Hearts} completed the board on the river, and Polk hit the rail.

He wasn't coolered against Kevin. Less than an hour prior to that hand he specifically said that he could lay down set under set and only gets in when he has the goods. He was just outplayed.

if you watched the stream for more than a bit, and saw the lines he took in a few notable spots and couldnt tell that he was clicking buttons you likely dont have a clue.

Dan Shak opened for 25,000 on the button, and Jason Mercier defended his big blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, and Mercier checked. Shak put him all in for what looked like a bit under 170,000. Mercier used two of his time extensions and finally came to a decision.

"All right," he said. "I call."

Shak: {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The turn was a harmless {2-Hearts}. The river: {k-Spades}.

"Whoa," Mercier said, surprised to keep his tournament life alive.
