Even if you could make an argument for segregating certain players, Party doesn't have the traffic to do it.

This will give the riggies more "evidence" of the Winner's Curse or Cashout Curse effect if they are good enough to win in the protected games.

It can't be overstated just how disgusting this is.

I was literally about to deposit on Party and grind out the first deposit bonus but obviously I am not going to touch his shambles with a barge pole.

The thing that concerns me the most is that other struggling sites might decide to implement this as Party has now set the precedent.... We are very lucky in the UK that we have such lax gambling laws and we can play online poker without any real concern, but in a lot of places around the globe it is really hanging by a very thin thread. Stuff like this can only serve to fuel the "OMG pokers is rigged" crowd and if we are honest party is rigged.

The only decision any reg can make now is to withdraw all of their cash and not pay another cent in rake. Any other decision is quite frankly stupid.

Move to Stars or FTP, it wouldn't surprise me if all of the other shady clients follow suit soon but aren't as stupid as Party and therefore don't broadcast that they have rigged their client.

RIP PartyPoker you greedy, stupid, rotten, idiots. This is an awful business proposition, you don't make money from the drunk fish who deposits 50 bucks once a month, you make it from the regs 10 tabling paying you all that rake.

I am boycotting party for many reasons. Now I got another one to add to the list.
Reason why I boycotted in the first place was they refused to open my account, and they were in error.
In the meantime they took money out of my account with a new policy of taxing inactivity.

This is a tangent (and a semantic argument) but - they are not lax at all! We have some of the most comprehensive gambling laws in the world. They are just explicitly permissive.

If I were a new depositor, and played on softer tables, then one day after a month there was a marked increase in tough games, lots of new player names playing 8+ tables you have never seen before, more aggressive games, your limping preflop strategy now constantly punished - what would you conclude? House bots? Cheats?

There are so many flaws with this opaque implementation, it beggars belief.

Where do you think all the money that the regs are playing with comes from? THe reg usually deposits once and cashes out for much more.

No money is made by anybody, unless people deposit and lose.

1. Segregate compulsive / looser / sick addict players from healthy / even or winning players
2. Take their money as fast as possible with fake /ghost accounts - home bots - action shuffle, when the opposition between the donkey pack is not "fast" enough and the site need fast cash. Compulsive players never make stats and dont do the forums...They never complain seriously.
3. Build up some "champs" to keep the dream alive
4. All the sites do the same, since years.

As things stood, a new depositor sat down (often with his entire deposit on one table), got bumhunted, with ten regs queueing for the table within 5 minutes, and lost his money, usually without even getting any banter in the chat. He then decided whether that was fun enough to warrant depositing again.

Even if you don't think this new situation is any better, it's difficult to see how it can be much worse.

It is all about the money hmmmh PP mafia. Hope they ban onlinepoker and internetcasinogames forever. All these companies are run by criminals. the good thing is no need for working on my game anymore. Just let the fuxxers take all the monies from the braindead fish. As has already been said through this thread, if this is deemed a "problem" there are many alternate ways to change it that doesn't have the large downside that no one knows what is going on, and that there is some opaque grading system that changes' a player's experience each time they play.

And really, i don't even see how this will resolve the issue; if i understand correctly, it means a table gets hidden when its got a certain threshold of new players. So for a new player, it may mean 4 regs instead of 5. That's not really going to change how quickly he loses his money nor how much banter he gets in chat.

In the youtube video that's been posted a few times, one of the players that can be seen from the "fishy account" and not the "reg account" has been playing on party for over a year and has played well over 100K hands so it doesn't appear that either account age or hands played are taken into consideration.

Do they also have a player pool for bots only ?

Then i'd be interested to hear what said account owner thinks of these changes.
