I hope it works out as such, I trust the people in the commission after hearing a few talk about issues such as bots, which I was surprised they were already preparing to address.

Not shocked. This is also why NJ tried so hard to to get their own intrastate bill going and I am sure they want to also be the regulator.

Makes sense for someone in CA to be the regulator as far as I am concerned since Poker is a main focus there and is mostly disrespected in NV and NJ.

You can bet your Sweet Bippy on this.

Also...
Vegas has a long history of discouraging Pro Gamblers...
Blackjack is Exhibit A...
And there is a solid thread here from 2 yrs ago...
Estimating only 50 low stakes Poker Pros in Vegas.

The Barton bill is designed...

As will any bill likely to pass...
Because Harry Reid is in the tank for Nevada...
Reid will decide what happens with a few phone calls.

Give Nevada Casinos an online poker monopoly...
And you can kiss hi-volume, multi-tabling goodbye.

You will have hard-ass Adult Casino Executives in charge...
Not Team FTP running a Slush Fund out of Paper Bag.
I agree with a lot of the points made in this post.

The thing that worries me most is both the government AND Vegas casinos try to discourage pro gambling. I hope Im wrong, but I have a very bad feeling about the profitability of online poker post regulation for all but the VERY best grinders.

we've got a chance to get everything we've ever wanted.

quick! freak out about potential things that could go horrible so we can keep dreaming and never have to face a reality that is largely out of our control.

you sound like a buncha lifelong virgins. man up and do something else if you can't beat the game, same rules as before.
