Have they actually published the structures, or just said they are increasing the chip counts? I am very interested in how more chips will influence the structure of the early levels in the limit events.

Mixed big bet would be popular. I'd like a fiple draw kind of game to confuse everyone with all the various limit drawing lobah games.
Hmm, I must have been deep in something to have missed it. I checked, and I was confused, 2013 was the year that they mysteriously dropped it.

If you go to http://www.wsop.com/2015/2015-wsop-schedule.pdf, the structure sheet for each event is linked.

Was at your table in the 1500 PLO event last year, you and a few other players were talking about the 1500 2-7 at the table. Just checked and it was the day before the PLO event so you may have played it and forgot about it.

Thanks!
I just checked the structures for the lower buy-in limit events, and I am very happy with the changes.

You start with 37.5 big bets, but the first three levels last two hours each. This is much better than the typical blind structure in many limit tournaments, which start with stacks that are too deep and then escalate the limits very quickly to compensate.

I am disappointed with a few of the changes the WSOP has made to the schedule, but I applaud them for this one!

agreed, in particular the structure for the dealer's choice is very good.

Level 6, the PL games will just be at 50/100!

Felt exactly the same. I suppose on the upside it means I get to be flexible with which week I decide to go out.

I would have liked to see payout structures change in all events not just the main.

I think 20% paid with a minimum of 80% ROI would ideal.

Lol don't say thst. You hAve never run the numbers to see how it effects the top 20 spots it effects it Alot. People live in a fantasy Land where u can pay tons of spots and still have a good tournament. No serious player wants more spots outside of super nitty math guys.

Most "serious" players want a realistic chance of getting a good return for their time and money, instead of hoping to be the sole winner of a lottery.

For an mtt smaller than 1,000 people, its better with a 10% payout and top heavy prizes to the final table since more skill is required in small fields

In a multi-thousand mtt, thinner payouts at the top arent as bad since the top places still cash at least 100x to 1,000x the buyin, and the difference between winning 800x instead of 1,000x profit isnt going to upset most people.

Well ya run a realistic simulation on payouts and see how it squeezes the top 100. Pokerstars had bigger fields than wsop and they tried paying 20 percent it was a total failure. for 99 percent of serious players min cashes have little effect on their long term results. Never met anyone who considered min cashing a 1500 event a big win. People lack a good grasp on reality. They dont see how paying more spots, big ràke increases gradually eat away at any long term ability to make money playing poker.

That's what they're going for. Last year had a huge lull around the 3rd weekend, and other weekends they ran out of tables and some players had to have really late starts. They're trying to spread things out the best they can.

how is this not age discrimination?

I wish somebody will sue wsop for the bs ladies event.

What they are doing is an absolute gross violation of civil rights.

If you really care that strongly why don't you sue them?
