Morning all.... so today is the day, I hope. Looks like that bloody knot in my stomach is coming back again. Like the time I tried to withdraw my cash from FTP and couldn't

Going to be a long day I feel, how about a game of poker to pass the time.....

I am not friends with DTM but I would definitely buy him a beer for the patience he has displayed in this thread explainng the complex legal context that Full Tilt and its villains find themselves in.

To me you seem like a shill - but where does that get us? In-fighting amongst players gets us nowhere. What we need is a bit of realism. DTM brings you that, along with a handful of other posters, who either have experience in the gambling or legal industries. What is not helpful are the people shouting them down, calling their knowledge speculation, and drowning them out in unfounded optimism in the ****-storm we find ourselves in.

I have no agenda other that wanting the players to be repaid their FT balances. The fact that I don't believe it is a realistic option does not change that. I for one am grateful to DTM, Gioco, Noah, and a few others who try and stem the bull**** that some posters so vehemently and definitively spout on a daily basis.

Full Tilt, which we estimate generates some $100 million in profits on $500 million in annual revenue, did not respond to requests for comment.
Back on topic.

The point of this discussion was to show the value of FTP.
The consensus is that a poker company should be worth 16 times its annual profits.
So whatever the exact value of FTP today, GBT got it cheap.
If FTP2 will get 15% of FTP1 revenue it's still profitable.

Personally I think they will be so innovative they'll have more than 100%.
FTP2 I feel will become more than just a pokersite.

This deal is done soon enough and Tapie and the DOJ will let us know what the next steps are regarding FTP and our money. Everyone is done and tired of reading novels with nothing but speculation and negativity.
Please to be explaining in detail exactly which parts of Do the Math's posts are wild speculation. He does speculate about some things and admits it when he does so. Everything other conclusion he give careful explanation for.

You poopoo anybody that comes in here with any negative opinion about the deal going through without giving any explanation why they might be wrong. I you're so damn sure FT will be back up and running in the near future with everybody paid. Ack in full I'd like to hear how much FT money you bought for pennies on the dollar. Anybody as positive as you would jump at the chance to quickly double their money with no risk.

... ya but it is pretty hard to double 0$

It looks like the FTP deal goes on, got an email on news from the lawyer of FTP that he does not expect to announce anything today:

The only ones smiling are the shills and trolls. We take it because there is no real action to take.

Do you really think anybody wants to see the players go unpaid? Just because somebody is skeptical a deal will be completed doesn't mean he/she is hoping the deal won't go through.

I've been skeptical all along but I VERY much want the deal to get completed ASAP so players will be re-united with their hard earned funds. It's the players money and they deserve to have it back. Too many have suffered for far too long already.

And fwiw I am definitely angry. Angry as **** the owners of FTP could allow this to happen. It's left a black mark on the whole poker community, financially ruined many people and taken $300 million out of the poker economy that it will likely never see again which in turn hurts many more people.

Everybody is skeptical more or less. Even those with money stuck there. Everybody is angry as **** at the owners and everything that FT means. But only the trolls and shills can't understand how we take this "happily and smiling".

I always thought of you as a sincere pessimist hoping for the best not an obvious troll or shill. I am a hopefull, borderline, pessimist myself so I see your points quite clearly I am not putting you in the shill/troll camp by any means. Hey chill out and keep posting

Damnit. I had finally come to terms with the fact that I was never going to see my money again, but then these rumors these last few days that a deal was close to finalizing got my hopes up once again. I don't know why I keep setting myself up for disappointment. Ughhh

I pretty much 100% agree with this. I dont personally know any of the above listed people.

I dont always 100% agree with DTM but he always provides rational reasoning based on facts as we know them.
People shouting him down without reasoning do come accross as agenda driven.

Personally my only agenda is getting my money back.

I think everyone will get a % of their balance back eventually.

What % and how long it will take is the mystery?

I'm always chill even if sometimes my posts seem otherwise at times...

Doesn't look like people are going to get the news they're looking for today but hopefully soon...

This is exactly how I feel. I just don't see any way players are going to get completely stiffed. If that were to happen I'd love to see Jesus, Bitard or Howie go anywhere near a poker room... Would be a massacre.

Even if you all get 100% of the money back then the stress and loss of earning (money makes money ldo - esp in poker) will mean that you arent actually getting compensated 100%. Still, at this point 100% of the money back is obviously the dream.

And almost seldom provide reasonable arguments for shouting him down. They just claim he's a troll and has an agenda blah blah blah..

False. Rememeber the guy from UB. He didnt hide away and was fine because online poker players are smart enough not to make their problems worse by going to jail. So your post is a fail. Sounded good in your mind maybe.

Not so false. I know of instances where Russ Hamilton has been kicked out of casinos when people pointed out to management who he was and complained about him. And Russ isn't nearly as well known as the FTP cronies nor is he responsible for as much money being stolen... Keep trying though I'm sure your post sounded good in your mind.

Show any proof of this. This is a steaming pile of bs just like the lies coming from FTP. Once again you dopes all get your hopes up and celebrate while you get played like a violin. The sooner you realize they are stalling the better. The only thing going on is howard and company playing pr games to avoid jail time. When will you people get this ?
03-16-2012 , 10:27 AM
Just a reminder that offers to buy or sell FTP funds, or posting "PM me, I'd like to buy/sell" are not allowed in this thread or NVG.
03-16-2012 , 10:46 AM
Dont sell your funds people, you will get ****ed over, your funds are safer sitting on your ftp account then if you sell them, the buyer will definitly get ****ed over, then your gonna be like omfg, then your gonna be like **** me.
