Based on increased mention of bcs on Twitter during the rose bowl did you predict an 80% chance the playoff was gonna be announced during halftime?

Tom dwan interviewed after main event bust. Says he feels bad about full tilt. Has terrible mustache.

College football is silly. It's like watching a little league game.

Best wishes

Yeah! I agree that anyone with less than ten thousand on tilt shouldn't be allowed to post!!! That should be the cutoff! Those of you with 9000 will just have to listen. :;

Calling Townhall a "news source" is funny.

If no request for extension is filed today, what will happens is, the civil defendants will file answers, motions to dismiss, or some other pleadings responsive to the Amended Complaint.

With regard to the case, yes. With regard to possible settlement, not necessarily, but perhaps so.

On a kind of related note Annie dyke I mean duke is going to be a deepstacks live instructor at my local poker card room in new Hampshire. Perfect opportunity for people to come see her and ask about her fat brother and ub. I believe it's in September. Hampton falls nh.

So there is some sort of hearing today? Anyone know what time?
07-09-2012 , 11:40 AM
I bet DF does, NXTworldchamp. Is that on PACER or something?

Judge Leonard Sand, who the DOJ requested the extension from, has no hearings scheduled for the entire month. Would the hearing be before another Judge?

If you're referring to the motions being due, that is not a hearing. They merely submit the motions to the clerk. They may even have an e-file option.

Yea just wondering what actions we are expecting today(?) in regards to the 1 week extension that was filed last week.

Tweeted DF to see if there was a hearing today. Here is her response.

"As to Bitar, still unsure, no hearings for the civil case (deal), procedural conference this afternoon afaik."

It will be a submission to the court for one of three things:

1) Request for finalization of a settlement agreement.

2) Another request for an extension on the filings of motions to dismiss (the entire lawsuit) and motions to strike (to strike embarrassing, harmful details etc.)

3) Filing of motions to dismiss and/or motions to strike.

Likely, only people with access to PACER will see when/if these are filed. I wouldn't expect any of them to be filed until at least early afternoon. Though, it's possible they could be filed earlier.

Can't really speculate as to which will be filed, hopeful it's the first obviously.

That tweet is a lil ambiguous. Is she saying there is a procedural conference this afternoon?
07-09-2012 , 12:07 PM
Ok thanks, yea wasn't exactly sure what to make of her response.
07-09-2012 , 12:12 PM
Bizzle, any idea what a procedural confrence means?
07-09-2012 , 12:14 PM

It's more than an option. Filing via ECF is now mandatory in all federal courts, iirc.
07-09-2012 , 12:21 PM
Everyone calm down on the procedural conference. It's not clear that there is one even scheduled.

I'm not sure that they are normally called procedural conferences, but I believe it would be just what it sounds like, a conference where you discuss the procedural issues with all the parties in the case. Dates, discovery requests, etc.

I'm not really a practicing lawyer yet. Licensed in one state, studying for the bar exam in another, so don't take my word for it.
