BESIDES, you tink durr had all his own action? I think not, bud.

Durrr will be broke before sunrise, courtesy of jungleman.

The Dwanksters are somewhat schizophrenic. When the rumours were he was DOWN millions in Macau, they insisted he did not have his own action. When the rumours were he was UP in Macau he had all his own action. Same as the WSOP. At first he had $5 mill in prop bets he would win a bracelet. When he did not win a bracelet- oh well nevermind......

I've highlighted the important part of your statement for everyone because that's all any of this speculation is.

what people are failing to realize is that Jungleman was always the better HU player.

And i'm not talking EV stuff, the only way to know that wd be jungleman to post the graph, but cooler way.

Of the 10 biggest pots of the challenge jungleman won 8 of them. 6 of the are pure coolers (set vs 2pairs, set vs straight, flush vs flush etc) and jungleman won 5 of them.

All these pots adds up to a total of 730 000 dollars in favor of jungleman ( if you deduce the 180 000 pot for durrrr)

wich means that if each one had won 3 of the coolers the gap wd be cut of +- 600 000 and if you switch the places dwan wd be up +- 700 000 dollars.
Coolers are also result of ones playing style, when dwan plays any hand in 3 bet and 4 bet pots, he may end up in more weaker two pair vs higher or weaker flush vs higher situations than the norm. After the fact it just looks like a cooler and "nothing could be done" but it's also due to the fact that dwan plays more big pots with crappy hands than most think can be profitable.

Sure, but because Dwan's range is wider so is Jungleman's range for stacking off, which reduces the hand strengths required for it to be considered a cooler.

Spoiler:
I suck at the pokers.

I agree with Jimpo. So many times I see Durrr playing low suited connectors like 23,24,34,45, ect. Then when he loses, it's a "cooler". I'm pretty sure Cates is throwing more of these hands away.

i will take 3:1. i would take worse odds even, but i want to be compensated for the fact that this will take forever.

Before anything gets booked, I want to see what people would consider to be a fair bet at this stage.

I'll look into it... anyone have any ideas? Can't take too much action either as want to make sure I can cover any bets.

I'll also bet 100$ even money on jungleman being up at least 800k at the end of the challenge. The 1.5 million sidepot doesn't count obviously.

With a 1/3 of the challenge completed and Dwan down $800k, I think it would be tough to even give 4:1 odds. But there are a couple of things to note that looks promising in Dwan's favor.
The fluctuation and variance difference between this match and the Antonius one is huge. They are 4-betting preflop a lot more and forced to play the flop pretty short resulting in huge pots. Also note that the hands won difference is quite huge and you would think that they would try to even out.

Currently for this match: 9964-7019
Antonius match: 20700-18593

Under a smaller sample, the gap is even larger.
There is a chance at Dwan coming back, but I question Dwan's ability to come back in NLHE. I think we will continue to see this downward trend with Jungleman picking him apart.

This is a good point. Once FTP gets the variance evened out, Dwan will be back in the game.

What so frustrating is this isn't even like glory hunter supporting, supporting dwan is like any team, if there are crazy rumours such as $5mil of prop bets over wsop, sure you brag and go on about it in the forum to argue and say dwan is better than x or y. But by doing that you have to take it if dwan loses money, or loses the bet and maybe sometimes admit he's played that badly or he was wrong about having an edge in something. I don't care either way and just wish people would not have blind faith and be abit realistic sometimes.

in b4 the match finishes with less than 2 bb difference.

Sorry for the bump as the match is obviously not running but is this challenge over? Will it be the same at the durrrr vs PA match that is still currently ongoing?

No sign of durrrr online for a long time so he's either busto or retired which is it?
