I had the privilege; neigh; the honor of playing with the infamous Doug Lee this weekend at Caeser's in LV. I was curious when people started saying 'that guy over there is a pro' so I googled him. My first question (seemingly logical) that appeared in my head was "what is a guy who has 1.1m in tourney winnings doing playing a $100+30buy MTT?"
I ended up playing with him later on in the tourney... my fails of the day are in retrospect as follows.
Fail 1. Not finding this thread first, because my natural smartass state would have provided some real tilting responses to him... I am from the Midwest, I don't care... I will never see him again.
Fail 2. (these are spin off's of fail one) Not saying 'didnt I recognize you from tv?' when I called his double barrel bluff to my preflop raise and I made him show his A3off on a KQQxx board.
Fail 3. Not angle shooting him when we were down to 18 and he was immediately to my right... Although I did shove on his SB limp 2 orbits in a row.
Fail 4. Chopping it since we were going out with friends that evening... Cause I would have really wished I could provide some substance to this thread..
Sorry for my failures 2P2... If the occasion ever arises in the future, hear me now; I will make you proud!
