I suppose I will post my Chino story, as well:

I had played some no limit with Chino before and on this day I was at the same table with him. I'm done playing, go get some food and decide to throw some dice before leaving. Soon after I start playing craps, I'm running good and I see Chino sanding besides me. Chino says "hey I'm sitting on a stack of $5 or $6k at the table, can I get some chips and ride this streak with you?" I just look at him cause we dont know eachother at all. He says, "if I lose I'll go take chips off the table and bring the
back, if I win I'll give you 20%"

You tend to believe people when they tell you face-to-face that they will pay you back ASAP. So, knowing who he was -- a poker "celebrity" --, I gave him $600 in quarter chips. The idiot blew thru that in no less than 5 rolls, told me "you gonna be here for a minute? I'll be right back." 30 minutes later I went looking for him, I was told he had racked up about 45 minutes prior. OBVIOUSLY done playing poker by time he asked to play craps and borrow $$.

Lesson learned. At least it was only $600 and not $40K, I guess.

A lot of threads in NVG, and a lot of problems are buried in those threads. But you gotta do it right. I mean, you gotta have the thread already written before you show up with a package in the trunk. Otherwise, you're talking about a half-hour to forty-five minutes worth of posting. And who knows who's gonna come along in that time? Pretty soon, you gotta make a few more threads. You could be there all ****in' night.

If I wanted to fabricate a story, it would be much more glamorous.

What I have learned from NVG in this thread:

1. Violence should always be the first and only solution to any issue/conflict u face

2. If you have money--its okay to steal from you--in fact in many ways you deserve it.

The only legit criticism any of the victims itt should be hearing is why they waited so long to come forward possibly preventing other vicitims. You can obviously understand why they did tho whether it be in hopes of getting their $$ back sooner or simply being embarrassed to have been taken by this guy when they should have known better.

No matter what you've seen on tv mobsters don't make a habit of paying 50 cents on the dollar for high risk debt.

I have no first hand knowledge but its laughable to think a degen like Ted Forrest doesnt know guys who would do this even as a favor.

Not saying Ted doesn't saying it's not the most practical advice for your average sucker who let himself get Chino'd.

and I also think it's more likely Ted has guys who would do this for a nominal fee/maybe as a favor than has guys on tap who'll give him 25K for a debt from a high risk debtor.

If some pros would commit to wearing patches to advertise it I would be happy to make a ChinoRheemScammer.com type of site, and not take it down until everyone is paid... I am sure that would help be a motivator for him... I just dont want to spend the time and money to make it if its just gonna be glossed over. PM me if there is interest from any of the victims.
