I did not, and do not think she has lied about her sexual abuse. I never even hinted at that. I believe she may be lying about how that sexual abuse has affected her. Just to be clear.

And yes, we're in a thread discussing CC, mental health and abuse, I thought a video of him discussing this stuff could be relevant.

And a sidenote, if you check her videos in that internet archive thing, there's one where she openly discusses if Shane Dawson is a pedo or not, so everything seems fair game for the Carroll's but noone else can discuss it....Okey dokey.

You seem to be arguing that most of the forum is irrelevant. Very few peoples posts here are "super important" or move the needle, but it is a site for gossip and views. Maybe change the name of forum if two thirds of it bother you.

My only other takeaway from this thing is how disgusted I am with Daniel Negreanu trying to piggyback on Charlie like he didn't deserve to be ridiculed for his indefensible more rake is better shilling comment. The guy acts like he didn't terrorize Annie Duke for years and basically ruin her good reputation all because she was a little snide to him and his ego got bruised. She's not the only one he's gone after too, he is not innocent and deserved every bit of ridicule Doug flung his way.

I remember the Charlie Carrel video Doug released years ago, I went looking for it but couldn't find it. I can't remember exactly what was in it, but I had a low opinion of the guy after watching, so I guess Doug achieved his goal of the video.

So it was nearly 4 years ago that the original tweet was posted, but just a few months ago it was declared that Charlie is a victim which caused Doug to respond by apologising.

I see Charlie has responded to the apology by increasing the pressure to attempt to get Doug to grovel and apologise for more things, resembling the playbook of a Maoist struggle session.

I watched Charlie's videos and found them very difficult to watch, not sure why, but something felt off.

I am leaning towards Doug's side on this one.

Well said. Doug's material has never evolved and he just isn't that funny of a guy. Logical and well spoken when being serious, but the schtick just got old over the years.

Charlie just makes everything up as he goes. These days I just avoid his content but anyone can spend 5 minutes scrolling his twitter (I do not recommend it) to get a taste for it. Berkey and others were happy to use him as ammo though during the crusade on Doug, which Doug handled as poorly as possible.
