I stopped caring what strangers on the internet said or thought about me many years ago; otherwise I probably would've jumped off the deep end by now. What I do care about is something like this being a major story in the poker world at a time in which the WSOP is in full force and we should be trying to promote and grow the game of poker, rather than drag it through the mud. Think what you want about me, but one thing I have in common with most people reading this is that we love the game of poker and want to be able to play it freely in the comfort of our own homes. I'm moving back to PA soon to play 400/800 mix live and be closer to Sonya's and my parents, and state regulation of online poker would be a nice cherry on top.

I think especially those of us who are professional poker players should be taking steps to try to promote and grow the game, rather than feeling sorry for themselves because Cardrunners was founded, Black Friday happened, everybody is too good now, etc. With enough hard work, I truly believe that just about anyone (at least anyone smart enough to be browsing 2+2) can make a living playing poker in 2015. I think it's unfortunate that certain people have been on bad runs and choose to take their frustrations out outwardly rather than by trying to self improve, but I get it, it's certainly not always easy. I did not turn a profit in 2 of the previous 3 years, but with an improved mindset, an amazing woman in my life, and a strong work ethic, I've gotten my game back to where it needs to be.

This will be my last post in this thread. If you'd like to discuss further with me I'm just a PM away.

And someone said earlier ITT that it was his birthday last night?

Go asleep Hastings. You will still wake up a millionaire, just with a lot more explaining to do.

I've tried to give back to the 2+2 community and the poker community for many years, I've never turned someone down when they've asked for advice about poker strategy or whatever. It's unfortunate that many of you don't really understand or care about that. I've been on 2+2 for many years now, and I've learned a lot from this site, but I can't imagine myself continuing to try to give back publicly to a group of people who just don't get it (not talking about all of you, but seemingly the majority). Those who have made a real effort to get to know me are aware of who I am, and that's what matters. So from my perspective, it makes more sense to give back by helping these people than to post strategy advice on a forum. And like I said, I'm very good at replying to PMs.
first off, lol at making videos on cheatrunners and helping some people at poker as a way of soothing your ego being "giving back". its somewhere between neutral and pretty ****ing bad for poker. all it does is forge strong alliances for yourself, which explains why so many respected peers decide to be silent in this situation.

and it seems like you think its some distinct honor to PM you, but you really aren't that big of a deal. you truly rationalize things in the most ridiculous way, and must believe that if NVGtards have some personal contact with the great one himself, they will change their opinion on you being caught cheating multiple times.

Lance Armstrong used his cancer charity as a shield to deflect critics, I guess the comparison is pretty accurate then.

How is that minus life ev?

Again, formerly a Hastings fan, but as a rec who just deposits and deposits this **** don't look good to me nor for poker in general. I respect these players because I'll never play poker for a living and I like to live vicariously through their achievements (ups and downs). I am sure there are many others JUST like me! But I respect hard work and integrity especially in a game where there isn't much.

Re: Ghosting

Q? - How do these high stakes players feel about ghosting? When your playing guys that you know could have a team behind them do you just accept this and play because of your perceived edge?

ie;
Dang Bros
Alex and Seb
Evil Empire
Coaching stables
Poker houses

Disclaimer: Not trying to drag peoples names through the mud however, many of these poker documentaries openly show multiple players in a room discussing real time hands....

Apologize if this does not belong in this specific discussion

What a slap in the face to the players he cheated. Gets called out for cheating and the response is don't hate me because I'm successful. Such gross behavior. Just be a man and come clean.

The one time Hastings finally starts getting some respect, starts winning everything he plays, gets good publicity, obtains a loving gf.. And it lasts for about a week before he gets exposed for MAing and the shltstorm begins. Come on guys. Can't we just give him a little bit more time to bask in the glory? Life was finally starting to to go uphill.

Well there was guy liberte against durrr/dangs/galfond, cardrunners, and the other ftp pros.

I guess Ziigmund might have been the only one playing fair against guy lol.

If I was rolled for high stakes it would be the last thing I'd do with my money. It's blatantly obvious that at nosebleeds there's been blatant cheating since the beginning. Be it multi accounting, colluding, or maybe even super using. Look at the former ftp pros results these days
