Have no sympathy for those involved with UB, you knew what you were getting into.

I think they should just allow an option to transfer it to another site...ie. Bodog, Carbon.... why not? If they just mail out checks people are just going to turn around and put it on another site...duh!

No it doesn't mean that as well.

It just means that the DOJ is facilitating the return of people's money that is on deposit with these companies and thus has nothing to do with this case.

This is all pointless anyway...... It all boils down to the Gov. wanting a cut. Thats what this is all about. And the DOJ isnt going to listen to anyone... they will do what they want, when they want..... we are living in a socialist government disguised as a democracy.

And guess what? The DOJ forced FTP and Stars to sign away their last hope of ever returning to the United States. As a reg, this is bittersweet news.

My idea of online poker is playing on a mega-site with a large base and a wide variety of games. Instead, I can only look forward to playing the California equivalent of Svenska Spel, Sweden's state-backed poker site which averages 920 players.

If your interested go to: IPforHire

I played all day today on Full Tilt...good luck!
Hopefully it also gives you International ID, International place of residence, International Bank Acct, or else all the play will do no good if you can not get the money, or they eventually freeze the account.

+ 1.

Stars is awesome and always will be awesome. You can say all you want about them breaking the "law" (LOL doing what you want with your money that you have earned is illegal? LOL if the government don't see any tax from money you have earned [and already paid tax on] it's illegal?), all they did was provide a service to the people who wanted it, they thought they done it in a way they were protected. The only reason they are in this mess now is because the US Gov are a corrupt bunch of money grabbing bastards.

I'll refrain from going on a political rant, but seriously, stars has a lot to deal with just now. The less stupid emails and dumb questions they have to deal with the quicker things will move. Don't swamp them with stupid ****, read the FAQs.

I also have loved Pokerstars. Except for the unrealistic beats you will take from time to time.... but that helps you deal with bad beats while playing live. As anyone who has played alot of poker.... keeping your emotions in check is crucial. But by far and away the BEST thing about PS is the freerolls. Being able to win real money without any out of pocket expense is phenominal. I have yet to find any site that remotely comes close to offering what PS has for many years. They were doing the poker community a huge service and are partly responsible for the poker boom in the US. It will be a travesty if they cant resolve this matter quickly.

I don't know what that rate will be when stars finally converts it, though.
So you think Stars will reimburse our fpps and give us cash? I got 95,000 fpps I want to cash in. I hope they give us 1.6 cents per fpp that would be awsome.
