So I'm happy everyone is getting their money back in short order, however don't let it soften your outrage at how ******ed our governemnt and DOJ is.

If you've been paying your taxes all along, this shouldn't be a problem. For no reason should you have to pay taxes twice.

It's obvious what's going on here. The DOJ has taken a couple of steps backward and changed its' tune a bit to direct the tone of the prosecution more toward certain individuals who were doing the misdeeds, rather than the sites themselves.

This also shows that there are open channels of communications between the DOJ and the big 3, which could lead to any number of things. In addition, if the DOJ says the sites can openly use their sources to pay the money back to customers. In turn, this also reveals which sources those are to the DOJ. Basically, the sites are coming clean.

In the end, the DOJ can declare victory by showing they have recovered all players funds, received full cooperation from the sites themselves and prosecuted the individuals accused of money laundering. (My guess is that none go to jail - it's a hefty fine and probation).

From there, it's a level online poker field and negotations will begin on a law for online poker in the U.S. soon thereafter. It may not be too far in the future after all.
You forgot to add 'and we all lived happily ever after' to this fairytale.

Obama: ''Hey guys, please restore PS and FTP for some time, so I could withdraw my 3,50$''

Glad that everything worked out for you, my fellow US players!

Thread title is misleading. Nowhere does it officially say that FTP has or will be restoring the withdrawal system.

This.. They want to give us our money quick to shut us up. Lets take the money, but I am not about to forget the liberty stripped from us, the jobs lost, and the disgusting hypocritical boarder line tyrannical actions our government continues to take.

I doubt it.

There's a 50% SCOOP reload on Stars right now up to $200 for the rest of the world. Americans are excluded.

The DOJ states in the agreement that Stars has the right to offer poker to the rest of the world, Americans are excluded.

Americans invented the game Texas Holdem for the rest of the world to enjoy. We are thrown under the bus in the process.

im just sayin
Winners = The players (post U.S. law legalizing online poker).

The competition will be insane for bonuses and rakeback on deposits with any number of casinos, large and small. Name a casino and they will have software in place or pending release.

Bonus prize: Regulated (so measures will be in place to verify security, shuffle and fair play) * and * somewhere to appeal a case outside of the site itself if you don't like a decision/ruling.

Now, you can't play (and I guess it is still legal, as always).
In DoJ press release: "(...) Under the terms of the agreements with PokerStars and
Full Tilt Poker, the companies agreed that they would not allow
for, facilitate, or provide the ability for players located in
the United States to engage in playing online poker(...)"

But you can make money transactions that according to UIGEA are illegal.

What's wrong here?
Exactly, so much wrong.

They are being ambiguous but they do say funds are safe and withdrawals will be allowed at some point when you login.
