This project had scam/fraud written all over it from the beginning and it's finally beginning to unravel. Question is, how long will Cantu and Hellmuth continue to promote it?

Latinum is backed by giant hedge funds. If you look at the case which I just read. It seems to be this Kevin Jonna person who was selling LTNM behind the companies back. They are suing they're own family member. It does not seem like a Legit case. Also LTNM is not a security. It states it in the white paper.

Well The Random capital letters and almost knowing which "their" to use really shows it's not a mastermind at the helms of this scam.

It's a little known fact that as long as they state they're not a security in the white paper that is A-OK with the SEC.

It’s the Howey Test and how does passing it mean that btc is going to 300k? Not saying you’re wrong, just curious how you came up with that figure.

Is this the same thing Doug Polk ranted about on his podcast and/or YouTube channel a few weeks ago? I recall something about coins that include the word "Bitcoin" in them, perhaps to give it more credibility – even though it has zero association with BTC.

From skimming the complaint it looks like a guy named Kevin Jonna offered to sell $100k worth of tokens to the victim at $14 a pop, promising that he'd be able to immediately flip them for $20. I guess the token wasn't listed on any exchanges yet. Jonna was apparently working for Bitcoin Latinum in some capacity and earning commission. And then Jonna just never sent the guy any tokens and refused to give the money back.

EDIT: oh man, I didn't read far enough. Jonna (allegedly) continued squeezing him, eventually getting him for $540k in total

Googling his name, Jonna has a Hendon Mob page and... he is also suing Bitcoin Latinum?!

I can't read the complaint because it requires an account, but it looks like it was filed 2 days ago

Long discussion but tldr
.
His thesis on BTC (full disclosure his publicly traded company owns more BTC than I think anyone) so yeah grain salt....

His corp was I think first corp, municipal or nation state to use BTC as an asset on their balance sheet. An asset that met his requirements at the time when all others did not. $200M then $450Million of it

There are 1000s and 1000s of other corp, municipal, nation state entities that might at some point or maybe do now have the same problems he had which BTC solved.. any one of them could wake tomorrow and decide to do the same and make a 500M or 1Billion purchase (which would make breaking news on every business network in the world) Once 1 does it 3 more will , once they do 15 more will. etc

Fixed supply , Surging demand . Prices rise (admittedly I did pull 300K out of my ass, but yeah that direction)

Michael Saylor seems to be determined to get caught committing securities fraud a second time.

Should Helmuth et al. be held liable, even if they are not directly involved with business operations?

The fraud rate in crypto via influencers is rising dramatically. Some are in on the game from the beginning, most are just paid puppets.

Looks like a pretty solid rug pull btw. Bitcoin Latinum got pumped from ~100 to $3950 on 12/19/21, now at $12.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-latinum/

To answer my own question, Helmuth and Cantu's wallets should be checked to see if they sold Bitcoin Latinum on 12/19/21.

As much as I like Phil (he was always super nice at the table the few times I drew his table, whining aside) he's getting a solid track record here of promoting scams between Latinum and Ultimate Bet

Basically a walking billboard for any scam company that wants to buy ad space on him while he plays

That said I mean it's called Bitcoin Latinum it was pretty clearly a scammy shitcoin the whole time.
