The GBT deal was never going to happen. They never intended to pay everyone in full right of the bat or even set a time table for doing so.

Saying you'll pay 94.9% of players isn't the same as saying you will put up 94.9% of the funds on FTP. DUCY?

Allowing someone to reopen FTP without player funds on hands would be extremely stupid. Or should we just allow the new FTP to repeat the mistakes that got us here?

TO answer your question about Tapie Marco. He is puppet for Wynn. Wynn and Milken are behind all of this and have the DOJ in their pockets. Tapie was just like the character in middlemen.

If only there was a way to send you a link so you could click on it and reset your password.

If it were pokerstars that bought FT, I'd be pretty confident they'd cough up the rakeback owed too.

They'd have to be stupid to just mail ROW players checks.

If this happens they will either credit your FTP account or if they don't open FTP back up credit your stars account(or better yet create one for you and credit it).

A lot of that money will be converted regardless of whether it happens on FTP or stars.

Interested to see what happens with people who played on tilt because they were banned from stars..

Don't get me wrong, I figured that out all aswell. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I was merely trying to point out that this smells like a ploy for PS to delay the resurrection of FTP.

Good point....would there be some data protection implications? I know that where I live 2 companies owned by the same parent company cannot share information about their customers.

Question I wonder is if Stars keeps FTP's 27% rakeback.

Or implement their tiered system there.

Will it be a network such as Merge so both site users can play amongst each other.

PS isn't spending 450 million dollars to delay a competitor.

Especially since that competitor never took more than 20% of the market anyways

would be silly, how about players having different screennames and e-mail addresses registered in the two sites when these two "child companies" are prohibited from sharing customer info with each other?

Better odds... This rumor being true or this Wizards going down as the NBA's all time worst % of wins in a season?

So did GBT or Pokerstars apply for a Cat 2 license for Orinic from Alderney?? And all this recent Job posting for Pocket Kings by Pokerstars also?? Can anyone clarify this??
04-24-2012 , 05:48 PM
Wynn will control Pokerstars/Party/Bwin

Caesars will control 888

Live and Online monopoly.

The money given back will be taken in high live/online rake in 2 years tops.

That was all GBT. The deal fell through yesterday, per GBT's lawyer.

2. DOJ says no, you gotta commit to paying all players back within 90 days.
3. GBT says "uhhh, we're not putting in enough money in the deal to do that, we wanna pay the big accounts back with rake we collect over time."
4. DOJ says "pound sand".
5.PS barges in and says they can top that and pay everyone in full in 90 days.

Something a bit more like that, but yeah.

If I spoke Italian I'd go pry around whichever forum that was (I thought it was a Euro one, but can't remember if it was assopoker or PokerStrategy.com).
