Alec "traheho" Torelli........don't read if sensitive Alec "traheho" Torelli........don't read if sensitive

Here I am reading my Card Player magazine, and I get to the section where they announced that traheho (Alec Torelli) won the FTOP main event for almost 300K, and it shocked and kind of infuriated me. Why, you ask? Because he is a racist!!!!!! I was raised to respect everyone's point of view, even racists, as anyone is entitled to what they believe, but on the poker table, i just feel it is unacceptable. I played with him about 3-4 months ago in a cash table on Full Tilt(I can't really remember the stakes), and he lost a pretty big pot to someone with the avatar with the black guy with the afro, where AfroMan rivered him on a 3 outter. After the hand, he says in exact words (thats a play a n***er would make), and a railbird wrote LOL, and that started a chain of events where people were leaving the game. He was writing that he'll drag him on the back of his truck, and just saying a lot of things that I don't feel comfortable writing on this. I wrote a complaint to Full Tilt, and assuming that he is a big game player he got some leeway, i don't think a small stakes guy could get away with what he was writing. It disappoints me that someone who could preach so much hate could turn out to be a big winner, but hey thats life. Traheho, your name is still in my find a player feature.............

If it were possible, I'd prefer racism exist only in poker but nowhere else.

ya...not sure why you'd admit that your parents were tolerant of racism.

and youre an idiot but i still dont run around making threads about it.
03-17-2007 , 06:37 PM
i was raised where if someone may be dumb enough to have hate but i have to respect their opinion just like i would want mine respected, i still am no better than him.......i just think it crosses the line to degrade someone because of their race on the poker table for the simple reason that your 95% on the turn didnt hold up
03-17-2007 , 06:38 PM
this doesnt make him a racist imo
03-17-2007 , 06:40 PM
I've thought stuff like that looking at those stupid avatars.. never said it.. but i've thought it. So I play with them off now.

I lol'd, well put.

This thread is real, real ******ed. If the guy truly is a racist then I wouldn't associate with him, but I also wouldn't give 2 [censored] to whether he went broke or won 5 billion dollars playing poker. The fact that you're upset that he won b/c he is supposedly racist seems a little bizarre to me. You might as well get used to the fact that not all people who have success in this world are the greatest of human beings.

Really... Who cares... I've talked with him and he as always seemed cool... But who hasn't ever been slighlty racist at some point. It's no big deal.

Then what does it make him? He's obviously racist if this is true.

We should just put all racists in camps. We will have them working the BMW factories and just kill the weaker once and let the others starve to death. Problem solved we all drive BMWs and the racists are gone.
