Taking 2easy to a stake where he feels he might be less comfortable playing at, IMHO.

can someone fill in those not following everything poker? What are the stakes? Just whatever is won/lost or is there more to it other than that and pride?

It seems like most of the guys who were killing the games pre-boom just admit that the online players are better. But DN just can't. I guess if you really convince yourself of something it is hard to let go of it if it becomes part of your ego.

The pool of players is too big now. DN was a big shark in a small pen that broke and spilled into the ocean. Now he expects to be the biggest shark in the ocean- not very realistic. There are a million sharks out there sized according to a Gaussian curve. Chances are about 100% that a whole lot of them are bigger than you DN. Realistic is being happy to get in on the ground floor and make a lot of money. Challenging the supremacy of internet poker players is like walking into Kenya and issuing an open long distance running challenge. Good luck.

Kind of weak on Daniel's end. He has unlimited money and he knows it. Losing won't hurt him but a big heater session and he can quit/be busy and write a blog on how he owned an internet player over 10k hands, conveniently leaving out that he got owned for 5k hands and won 4 allins at 200/400.

You guys getting on Daniel are hilarious. He agreed to finish out the 5000 hands and was just asking if 2easy was willing to play higher. The only way you can get on Daniel for that is if 2eazy agrees and then Daniel backs out of the challenge. Do you blame Daniel for wanting to play a high enough limit that he feels it will bring out his best?

I'm going to agree to disagree.
How can you make a statement as general as, "online players are better"? I mean, there's so many facets and varying elements to poker that make it possible to assess who's "better" as a whole.

Some online players are better heads up, some aren't... simple as that.
