I don't understand why the Results and Chip counts don't match.

Is it really that complicated to put the name at 0 in the chip counts after you put it in the Results? It seems like a job that anyone could do easily.

Ya, it's like it's two different people / departments altogether, has been like that the whole series.

They probably have different people doing the chip counts to tbe hand reports with obvious preference to tbe hand reports.

I watched Hoyt Corkins shove and lose KK<QQ on the bubble at a WPT event. It was gross. I understand why someone would fold AA to make the money now.

To a point, yes. But lets be honest, this is NVG, which most people would consider the farthest thing from civilized

Is PH Phil Hellmuth? Do you have any reason to believe he plays that way?

can someone update big names still in? The list on wsop.com is a pain in the ass to search through.

One person is probably getting info at the payout desk (results) and the others are roaming the tables. Unless it is a notable that they know is listed in the chip counts (because they don't track 100% of players until it gets to a manageable amount), they likely won't be zeroed out for quite awhile.

Too much work for you, so you want someone else to do the legwork for your benefit. Nice deal!

Question is why there are still so many people playing in the World Series considering the amount raked by taxes+expenses which would probably make them -ev for the series(not sure about math)
Afaik germans get withheld 30% and i would have zero clue how to get that money back therefore would never play an event

Considering many people are following this thread closely, I figured the work has already been done. Is that not a reasonable assumption on my part?

So? Why don't they have a third person taking the results and changing the chip counts? Or the person at the payout desk could change the chip counts at the same time. It's a very very easy task. Takes 10 seconds more per name.

Jim Bechtel

Both from Arizona. The latter one is the 1993 Main Event winner. Are they related?

You should just feel sorry that we don't live in a civilized society where a fellow human being would have helped you make an educated decision about how to better invest your entry fee.

Maybe he has enough money and doesn't mind blowing it or risking it. He could also have an expectation to win close to 10K, maybe more, even if he is not a pro.

It's completely ridiculous that people think they should be able to control other people's things or what they do with their stuff. "in their best interests" always turns instead into "in my best interests". Gov't propaganda has worked so well on this on everyone because they do it all the time and somehow we defend it.

You only get one life and you don't get to take $ with you later so blaming anyone for spending the $ to play in this for the experience is absurd to me.

Under 500 remaining now so it should get interesting tomorrow as there's enough names left.

Yes you are lol. I haven't played a live mtt yet so I don't know that feeling. There is no way I would put up that much of my own money for any tournament.
