Speaking of businessmen which chose smth else over playing OneDrop again. All of them are well connected to poker, there were no novelty to them 2 years ago, hence the reason lies in absolute different area. Perhaps, there is no one reason. Maybe, someone is being busy, someone can't afford it anymore, someone gave up on poker etc.

The first question is why dont we see new faces among businessmen and if I were Guy I would ask PR department of WSOP. No doubt there are dozens recreational players in the world which can afford participating in this event, why can't you bring in at least few of them?

The second question is what happened to Macau brigade? As far as I know they are in Vegas right now. They are plaing different cash games. So whats wrong?

And I also wonder what people who bought shares from guys like JRB feel, think right now, when it's more than clear they bought a share from a massive underdog.

P.S. pls excuse my English, it isn't my native language.

If I had more $$$, I'd back him. He's a shot taker, nothin wrong with that... Hoping he scores an early triple up and gets back in the game.

Maybe if they took a time machine back to the 1920s. During this lifetime, just way too many great athletes at the college level much less NFL.

To give you an idea of the Chip Counts we'll see the Final 8 end up on tonight, here's last years final 8 starting stacks for the FT:

Antonio Esfandiari 39,925,000
Sam Trickett 37,000,000
Guy Laliberté 21,700,000
Brian Rast 11,350,000
Phil Hellmuth 10,925,000
David Einhorn 8,375,000
Richard Yong 7,475,000
Bobby Baldwin 7,150,000

Remember there's 18 million less chips in play this time.

The only way to keep up with the event is on the pokernews live reporting page, and via twitter. KevMath is all over it.

To everyone saying things like Hellmuth is massive underdog, and he was never going to play... C'mon. The guy got 4th last time for a $1.6MM profit. No way ANYONE thinks JRB is a better investment than Hellmuth. He may not be anyone's favorite to WIN the tourney, but, should be one of the favorites by far to at least CASH.

However, I do think it's funny he finally got f'd for late reg'ing everything and hopefully puts a small blow to his ego about trying to create spectacles as he did with his tweets.

Not sure if you're serious, but her style seems to work.

5 consecutive years of >$900k in live tournament cashes, god knows how much online prior to BF, and continually one of the most well respected out there amongst the winningest players.

Do you know who Sam Trickett is? Do you think his 5b range this deep is only KK+? Especially vs a known sicko like Selbst? Really?

He could very well be 5b with a ton of stuff shy of this, and the fact that he even remotely tanked with KK suggests he could have possibly folded 1010-QQ there which would have been a win.

Anyone that plays HR's/SHR's can have >$900k tournament cashes each year no problem, doesn't make them winning players.
