It was specifically about transphobic trolling, not generic inappropriate language or insults which are both regular on the forum broadly speaking. Do you agree with tame's cited reason for silencing the discussion of trans issues?

I'm glad you have gone through a process of development. Indeed, gender-affirming care (which includes many things, with only a minority being major surgeries) are an important and indeed life-saving component of health care.

A note that your language is problematic. A trans boy who transitioned to being a boy presumably goes by the pronoun "him" not "her". Secondly, suggesting that he is a "girl that believed he was a boy" is problematic at multiple levels, by first characterizing trans identity as being a belief as opposed to something you are, and secondly by using sex-first language as opposed to gender-first language. This is better described something like as a boy who was born with female anatomy and he transitioned. These types of linguistic choices help to legitimize and hold up trans people.

Sure. But there is no jurisdiction I'm aware of where the process for gender affirming surgeries is just "a few hours and boom". This sounds like empty fear-mongering.

Lets not forget the enormous importance of getting someone banned. That's an even higher good than the vital work of calling them names.

Washoe doesn't need to be banned for being wrong. It's completely fair and good to counter him and ridicule him for holding baseless opinions and denying facts.

To be fair to washoe, that's not behavior exclusive to him and seems to be tolerated by tame to some degree.
