That's funny coming from you. Nobody in the history of 2p2 has made more posts excusing mass murder and supporting mass murderers than you have.

So it's pretty impossible to be openly gay in gaza or under Palestinian controlled west Bank

Israel will accept asylum seekers who are gay and fleeing these governments

Not legally settled. The last paragraph of your link:

Quote:
The Aguda - The Association for LGBTQ Equality in Israel expressed outrage at Arbel's decision to appeal the ruling, stating that this decision "not only contradicts the State of Israel's duty as a democratic state to stand by those who are persecuted because of their identity, but also contradicts Israel's efforts to present itself around the world as an LGBTQ-friendly country during the war."

Do they have gay marriage in the arab countries surrounding Israel? if not, why don't you condemn every single one of them as well?

Israel recognizes gay marriage. They won’t perform it but you could get married in Europe and Israel will recognize the marriage.

Just make a trip to Vegas and get married there.

According to wiki you don't even need to leave the country anymore, courts recently accepted online marriages as well.

In July 2022, the Central District Court ruled that marriages performed in Israel under an online civil marriage service established by the U.S. state of Utah, including same-sex marriages, are legal in Israel, thereby removing the requirement for same-sex couples to leave the country to get married.[3][4] The ruling was upheld by the Supreme Court in 2023.[5] A June 2019 opinion poll conducted by Hiddush showed that 78% of Israelis supported recognizing same-sex unions.[6]

Yeah even before they recognized gay marriage they accepted the partnership for all purposes, just didn't call it marriage due to religious reasons

Also nothing happened to them if they tried to get married. They weren't persecuted like they would be in many Arab nations

Yes it's only the ultra ultra orthodox that don't support it

So are you okay with the new state of Palestine persecuting gays?

We know progressives dont support the homophobia (at the cultural and legal level) present in the Arab world, including Palestinian territories, but they are mostly agnostic towards it and just dont really acknowledge or talk about it. Pretty similar to how the religious right here ignores all of Trump's behavior which doesn't align with their stated value systems.

I found it especially amusing in the lead up to the World Cup when the soccer world was going in meltdown over Hungary (I think) passing some allegedly homophobic laws, while being agnostic towards the fact they were all getting ready to play the World Cup in a nation with much, much, much more homophobic laws and culture.

i dont think anyone wanted the world cup to be in Qatar for multiple reasons. i think that was pretty obvious everywhere. FIFA is notoriously corrupt.

sure if you forget about european americans killing 99.999% of native americans.

Lets also forget about the millions of deaths during the slave trade

but wait, hold my beer,

have you ever heard of the catholic church? Crusades?

Historian David Stannard estimates that the extermination of Indigenous peoples took the lives of 100 million people: "...the total extermination of many American Indian peoples and the near-extermination of others, in numbers that eventually totaled close to 100,000,000."

There weren't many native Americans around to begin with.

The 100 million figure is grotesque, but even if vaguely true it includes south America which had the bulk of the population.

And the genocide there was committed by statists, Spanish and Portuguese, anti capitalists leftwing (in current terms) dictators.

I can guarantee you that doesn't regard the USA alone.
