human beings. making their own decisions. they will allocate that money as they see fit.

And those that making money are those that can sell options (usually managements ) at the expense of the share holders because to actually gain money u actually need to sell those stocks which you shouldn’t .

dividends are taxed more than buybacks in the USA, not sure if you understand that part.

when there is money around it trickles. it doesn give free stuff to anyone because that's not what trickle down is. it gives jobs and opportunities to decent people. if you are trash, you are going to keep having trash outcomes no matter what.

in particular Montreal, dividends are taxed monstrously if you are a foreigner. 30%.

if you are a rich person in a good country (those that don't tax capital gains) like say Dubai, if the company does buyback, you pay ZERO TAXES, if they do a dividend, you pay 30%.
