Sorry to hear your friend passed. I learned a lot from my friend; not just "intellectual" stuff, but also how to have joy and a purpose in life even when facing major trials.

I remember a couple of years ago comedian and TV talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres took some heat from some of the Leftist Mob of Pea Brains for enjoying a football game with former President George W. Bush in his stadium box.

On her show a day or so later, she made some eloquent remarks about how she doesn't choose her friends based on their political views.

I really think that if all of us P&S regulars got together for a dinner party one evening that the homicide rate would be relatively low.

Two things can be true at once. POC can vote GOP and some can, wrongly see that as a betrayal. Also some POC can see an easy path to riches by making the worst of the white supremacy arguments for them and do it as a means to get rich.

He televised receiving his Moderna booster (mix & match after getting J&J) on Oct 27, and hasn't been seen in public since. He no-showed his virtual appearance at the UN Climate Summit citing family obligations. His wife tweeted a hilarious obfuscating rant against people asking where he is, then deleted it.

Curiously, this past week, Newsom (through a press statement) stood behind anti-mandate prison guards. Ostensibly this is because 30% of guards straight up refuse to comply and will quit vs. getting vaxxed, and CA prisons would crumble if the mandate is enforced, but it's a weird group to publicly endorse when you've just mandated all children.
