So it looks we've got two Nobel laureates that are calling out the climate scam, not just one. LOL

Plus the 1500 other scientists etc on the list.

Vs around other 8 millions scientist worldwide …..compromising far more then 2 Nobel laureates taking the opposite sides .
Yup I won’t take your side at 0.0001875 % representation of the scientific community …..

Yup math is hard .
But then again this isn’t a contest about popularity , it’s science Brian .
Even tho in both instances u get crush with empirical evidences/studies and in popularity too .
Getting crush by 99-1 percentage wise .
I like your odds .
U must be very successful in poker .

and needed not that any should testify of man.

seek..... and you shall find the data, the information, the truth. only very occasionally is it ever grasped, and but for a moment. then beyond our grasp again.

not in some curated list of contrarian clowns. when thinking for yourself and questioning authority...... goes..... horribly wrong.

all the time we spend on suppression of what? 2% of the scientific community... well within any margin for compromised and insane, might be better spent on actual scholarship

All the best. try again

No point. That world news recap says it all. Imagine Brian watching an 11-minute program like that with all his requisite cynicism, feigning understanding and fitness

We're already seeing it, but I predict that as this gets worse, we will see more and more of what I've termed 'planetary dysmorphia' whereby people will look at the direct and indirect effects of the climate emergency and dismiss them as imaginary or attribute them to ever more implausible causes. 'The planet's not getting warmer, you're just wearing too many clothes.' Anything but admit that capitalism is driving ecocide.

I was just reading some fascinating articles from top people, and it's gotten me a bit worried.

Paul Ehrlich, a top American biologist, stated that due to shrinking food supplies 'the death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years.'

Also, out of Time Magazine... "Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support the following prediction: In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution"

Another quote: “Dr. S. Dillon Ripley, secretary of the Smithsonian Institute, believes that in 25 years, somewhere between 75 and 80 percent of all the species of living animals will be extinct.”

George Wald, a Harvard biologist, estimates that “civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.”

These are truly the Endtimes folks. Our everlasting summer and we can see it fading fast.

The best arguement against climate change is that the leaders who do believe in it and believe the science wont dont do anything very serious to combat it. They have all sorts of excellent reasons to do very little.

Can't be that serious then can it.

Seems weird to "appeal to authority" on an issue where the authority on the "other side" is so much greater. I mean, unless you actually think there are less than 1500 scientists and two Nobel Laureates who agree with the "climate scam".

Trolls are going to troll.

Here is a web page (from NASA) that indicates the degree to which scientists agree on climate change

"Do scientists agree on climate change?

Yes, the vast majority of actively publishing climate scientists – 97 percent – agree that humans are causing global warming and climate change. Most of the leading science organizations around the world have issued public statements expressing this, including international and U.S. science academies, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and a whole host of reputable scientific bodies around the world. A list of these organizations is provided here."

Interesting. 98% of scientists believe in evolution. And only 99.9% of scientists believe in gravity. 30 seconds of googling did not avail me of the proportion of historians who believe in the holocaust.

Maybe 5-8 minutes. It's not hard to find doom and gloom predictions that whip up fear in the public, while drawing attention to oneself for financial and moral cachet.

Fact is we're developing ways to mitigate climate change all the time. It's better than throwing hands in the air and saying, "These fascists are killing nature. In their GAS-POWERED cars. 'Don't Look Up' is totally what's happening!" Or an even worse scenario; people in power putting into place legislation to eliminate carbon emissions.

But that's exactly what's happening. Except the mainstream media are purposefully underselling the impact of the climate emergency, not doing doom and gloom. The drivers of the climate emergency are not really people in their gas-powered cars at all, it's big corporations and militaries. Yes, there are plenty of companies who have positioned themselves as green, or tried to take advantage of the situation by selling a new product, but that there are profiteers does not change the basic science, which suggests that at least within a generation if not significantly shorter than that, all *this*, everything you see, is going to if not completely break down, degrade significantly. We have been borrowing far more than we're spending and the bank is finally coming to collect, and we can't pay, so earth is going to foreclose on society. The question is whether we want that to happen in an unmanaged way, over a short space of time, with incredible cruelty, or have a more managed decline into a less rapacious way of life. Because this way of life cannot continue for much longer.

Another plus on Electric cars . Lets not forget the weight and car crashes injure more folks and cause more damage . They pay no road tax and cause roads to wear quicker

The flip side of this is that Electric cars cost much less over time to repair from wear and tear than ICE's.

Aside from the ridiculous charges from the car dealership where I bought my Chevy Bolt there are virtually no costs for upkeep aside from replacing the air filter and filling up the tires. But in fairness I had ridiculous costs for my Toyota Prius at that dealership until I found a local mechanic. And we moved my wife's Lexus to that mechanic as well because the Lexus dealership had crazy pricing for things that didn't need to be fixed...

Brake pads are virtually not used because my electric car has an engine brake on the steering wheel. There are no coolants, radiator, catalytic converters (which are now being stolen off of cars at a record pace), mufflers, tail pipes, gear fluid, oil for the pistons, spark plugs, distributors, ignition coils, gears, etc.

My fan based air conditioner did stop working so I basically drove with open windows until the software got rebooted (somehow that fixed it two different times). My Hybrid Prius also had electrical issues concerning windows in very cold weather.

But I am glad for the additional reasons not to have an accident (which I was unaware of until reading your post). I have been driving with a new sense of awareness after I got into an accident with my Prius due to a very odd set of circumstances. The car was not going to make it much longer anyway (catalytic converter replacement was necessary to pass inspection). But I really don't want to have another accident and this just makes it more important.

I never realized the tires are different and they go through them twice as quick leading to disposal problem of twice as many tires as well.

Hottest month on record... SO FAR.

Though to be fair, our records are more than a little sketchy if you go back much further than a few hundred years.

This may seem like a disaster to many, but think about those people in Gainesville who are about to be sitting on some sweet oceanfront property.

On that note, there is a whole social media niche devoted to highlighting the recent multimillion dollar beachfront purchases of some of our most strident climate alarmists. Definitely makes you wonder.
