Conversion therapy is torture. If you support it you should be ashamed of yourself. There’s no both sides here for you to straddle. It’s abuse. And if it’s done to minors everyone involved should be buried under the jail.

I thought you were winning the argument around this point but then you said you are pro conversion therapy if it is voluntary and lost me. Conversion therapy is mental torture plain and simple.
If you’re over 30 and talk to 18 year old gays you realize how much better off they are because people like me more or less already suffered forms of conversion therapy. It’s the same thing to me as saying you are for stores being allowed to ban certain races but it’s up to the store.

"Private" vs "public" university does not mean that one receives taxpayer funds and one does not. Private merely means it is not a publicly owned institution.

It doesn't even mean that they receive less taxpayer money per student, the reverse is often the case. In the US, the average taxpayer contribution for your 10 biggest private universities is some 40000 USD per student, likely far more than what public universities receive.

You're fine with closing down ALL public universities because of a "some college departments". That is a horribly anti-education position.
