All U.S. players should take a moment to write their lawmakers, tell them to support H.R. 1174. The Poker Player's Alliance has a quick-mail form you can use here: http://capwiz.com/pokerplayersalliance/home/

BUT more than that, put this link on your facebook, twitter, or whatever you kids do today. Most people support our right to play and wager as we wish, it's time we got them on our side. We need the support of all players, hardcore and casual. We need the support of all Americans that support our right. Let your voice be heard by more than just those reading this forum!

all of the us players ft/ps funds are seized and this only gets 56 posts in 3 days. I would expect every single us player would send off these letters, it really only takes 1 minute, even if your skeptical it beats the **** out of doing nothing

Its true that politicians don't read letters personally (at most, they have someone working for them that reads them), and reply with form letters. (Really, what else can they possibly do). But they still want to know if they are getting letters, and what people are writing about. If enough people start speaking up, they will notice!

+1 Like him or not our President is a huge poker enthusiast. He used to play in a game at the Illinois statehouse after hours when he was a lawmaker here.

Yes, I have been a bit disappointed in the response overall, but there is a strong response and people are talking action.

Also note there is a cross-post in NVG where it has 224 replies, but 12,000 views. Maybe people are at least clicking links without responding in thread (hopefully).

Also note there is positive action taking place in the "Official Time to Fight Back Thread" where people are making phone calls, etc

And why this thread and not the 3 or 4 others that have been started in this forum since, many of which have been merged into:

Might be a good idea to all be singing from the same sheet music before asking for stickies and noticed. I'd suggest doing this through the Poker Legislation forum; I'm sure the mods and regular posters there could decide on one message, and then the mods could take it to the admins here and see if they're willing.
