wat?
did they start the tables or did they hop on first available. or are you talking about casual players hopping on tables? And if so then why would they not still just jump on to first available? If they hopped on the first available table before and were to dumb to leave why would it be any different now?

Yes / they will (are) still hopping on the first available NL table.

Asking this question clearly shows your inexperience regarding the games we play and you don't. Asking this question in the way you do and considering your whole I know all about your games attitude while being a micro sng player, I'm not even inclined to explain it to you.

ratholing inevitably led to SS'ers starting way more tables than the 100bb tables. Fish just clicked on random tables and joined the first one leading to them going to the 50bb tables more than they should have. Now, with ratholing gone, we will see what happens, but as of right now it's looking like the fish are coming back to the 100bb tables

Maybe the 20-50bb tables should've had a contributated rakeback system, then we would've seen how long you guys last.
Wow, like a lot of 'normal' players you really do talk a lot of rubbish.

I have played deep and SS at ongame for many hands and my contributed rake was almost exactly the same with both having about the same VPIP. So explain that.

Also explain why cap is getting the same VPP rates as 20-50BB and significantly more than the old 40-100BB games. This could be explained to some extent if there were no fish at the 40-100 games and lots at the cap games (which isn't true.) But regardless, it proves that you thinking deep regs pay all the rake is FARCICAL seeing as the 40-100 games VPP rates were significantly worse than cap. The new 'normal' games MIGHT have a SLIGHTLY higher VPP rate than the cap games but this can also be explained by them having slightly more fish. Either way it is pretty clear to me that it is very close between who pays the most rake out of deep regs and SS regs.

To put it in simple terms that you MAY understand. If SS paid minimal rake then cap tables VPP rates would be abysmal. And they are not...

Or you could just make a statement with no evidence and say it isn't debatable. loool.

When I surveyed this several months ago, there were an approximately equal number of seats available in 20-50 and 40-100 games.

3. There is no significant advantage for the NL 100, NL 400 and NL 1000 games.

Of the 7 sampled dates there were more 40-100 games than 20-50 games (with empty seats) 3 times for NL 100, 3 times for NL 400 and once for NL 1000. Keep in mind that for NL 1000, there were typically only 1 or 2 tables open for each type and there was always at least one 40-100 table with a seat.

Yea that contributed rake thing is a really great thing, just ask all the FTP players.

IIRC, some dude who said he ran like 32/29 had his RB go down from what it previously was when it was calculated as dealt RB.

I wish Stars brought in cap games sooner. Much softer.

Yea, Steve did put this thread here for everyone. But, i'm sure he also assumed that people had enough common sense to realize a NL cash thread was for 'everyone' that actually plays and/or has knowledge about NL cash games on Stars. I don't think his hope was for the 2nd highest poster cluttering the thread on NL cash games to be some bored micro SNG player.

Your posts continually show that you just don't get it. This isn't a fullstacker vs sser thing, and i'm not trying to supress any SSer opinions. I have disagreed, and debated with many SSers in these threads.... and i've said many things, but i've never said a sser didn't have the right to be in the thread voicing their opinions. I'll try to make this as simple as possible... you are NOT a sser, you are also not a fullstacker, nor do you have knowledge about NL cash games on Stars. So you see, you simply do not fit a category that belongs in this discussion, especially to the degree that you are involved.

Serious question... Imagine there was a big change discussed for SNG games that could have a real big impact on you (negative or positive) and other SNG players. Would you really think it's OK for me as a NL cash player to join the discussion with very strong opinions (when I know little about SNGs or the current SNG issues, climate, etc. on Stars), and to further be the 2nd highest poster in that SNG thread?

Once again you completely misunderstand the point. I wasn't lying. Of course I disagree with the SSers in here, get in heated debates with them, and get annoyed by them. Have I ever said that SSers as a whole shouldn't be involving themselves in this discussion, though? No. I'm telling you in particular that. You have little to no first-hand knowledge of the issue. At least SSers play the damn format that we're arguing about.

Oh hai! It's ~10:35 AM EST time and here's the number of full ring $50NL tables running:

117 tables NLHE 100bb max
56 tables CAP
21 tables NLHE 50bb max
8 tables NLHE 250bb max

What's the over/under on the 50bb max tables dipping below 15 before the server restart?

It's ~10:45 PM EST time, do you know where you cash game tables are? @ $50NL Full Ring, here's the scoop:

105 tables NLHE 100bb max
36 tables CAP
17 tables NLHE 50bb max
3 tables NLHE 250bb max

There are no old label "40bb-100bb" tables left and only 17 "50bb max" tables. Still looking forward to Wednesday server reset, though.

For me, personally, this has been a wonderful breath of fresh air. I originally planned to pop on Stars long enough to get Platinum, cash out my FPP's for a inferior rate and move on to Tilt for good. Now, I can stay at Stars and SuperNova is even on the table.

Yeah

Now that stars cash games aren't gay I may forget about full tilt and just blow the roll I have there being a donk in FTOPS tourneys

Once again, good job pokerstars.

Let's see your logic in action. You quoted a post by a NL ring game player, that's been talking about the NL ring game changes in a thread about... you guessed it 'NL ring game changes.'

You on the other hand, are an SNG/tourney player that continues to go out of your way to bless us with one of your many (patented?) no content, condescending posts in a NLHE ring game thread. If someone had to be accused of spam here, it would clearly be you... irony ftw.

As someone who recently switched over to cash games from turbo SNGs, I think these changes are very good. They were actually a bit of a factor in my decision to change over.

It still looks like CAP 6max is slightly more popular then 100bb 6max at stakes 2/4+ .
At stakes below 2/4, 100bb tables seems more popular then CAP.

100bb FR tables are more popular then CAP FR tables by a wide margin.

At this point just play whatever type of table you enjoy the most, there isn't much left to debate. If you want to play with 20bb play cap, and filter out 100bb tables, if you hate 20bb poker then filter those tables out.

~9:45 PM EST time @ $50NL Full Ring, the situation changed:

99 tables NLHE 100bb max
58 tables CAP
10 tables NLHE 50bb max
4 tables NLHE 250bb max

Just a couple more days till the server reset.
