Yes, I was unaware that he was barred from the thread, just searched his post history breifly. I do not know the details of his ban, looks to be related to a staking situation? fwiw, he did send first and the trade was quickly completed.

Obviously, kidpoker406 did not search for the SN TurnerBPoker, as my post barring him was the first that would have shown up.

I posted in the p2p transfer thread a few years ago on my old account which I tried to regain access to (imolin), but can't since i don't know the original registered email address. Is it okay to post from my new account in the p2p thread if i'd like to trade off some $ from my BCP account?

As long as your pms are enabled you can as it's in the rules I jsut got a warning the other day for a rule I didn't follow so it's best you stick to the rules.

I don't think my case is specifically addressed in the rules; while I have PMs enabled I am more so trying to make sure I dont get any infractions/blocked for "multiaccounting" or "impersonating" when the fact is I simply no longer have access to my old account.

Before posting in the transfers thread I suggest you PM a mod, specifically Mike Haven and let him know the situation. Gl

You can't reverse a transaction, per se.

I've done a fair amount of research on this subject, and I think the only way to scam someone on Zelle is cash a bad check and get pre-credited for those funds and use them to send Zelle. Then when the check bounces, those funds will be clawed back from you if you received them from someone doing this.

Obviously, it takes a lot of effort and that's why people consider Zelle to be much safer then other methods like Paypal and Venmo, both which carry the same amount of risk (so not sure why one is banned and the other isn't).

I see from an IP address or two that you are probably imolin, (and used FTP Bambi92306, PS snsdtaeyeonn and BCP slayeon), but did you read the thread https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/5...-post-1198491/, which tells you how you could try to regain access to your old account?

sorry for new question but you can't either post a new thread for a transfer or reply to one without being on this site for 6 months?

You can't post a new thread for a transfer no longer how long you've been here.

You should go to the transfer thread, which is linked in the first post of this one, and carefully read the rules.

Also, I've seen quite a few posts from you recently, which always makes me wonder with new members if they're doing it to build reputation or obtain PM privileges. Just so you know, it won't help with either. PM privileges have a time function as well as post count, and at this point you're just going to have to be patient. If that wasn't your intent, then carry on.

yeah man i read that and it was like reading algebra. not sure what the point of having a p2p would be if you can never post.. and as far as my intent goes ive not played online since before black friday and just got back into the scene and my god things are different and trying to find my way around so if ive offended you then just carry on up there in canada eh

If you think that post is like reading algebra and you can't understand three simple rules, it's probably not a good idea for you to try to trade money with internet strangers; especially as you have now shown you are probably an easy mark for the scammers that target the noobs and the naive.

There would be no point, of course, and the thread would have no posts in it.

You seem to be confusing the terms "post" and "thread". You asked about starting a new thread, but I guess what you meant was a post within the P2P thread, in which case, no, you don't have to wait 6 months - you just have to follow the rules.

Actually, since you asked about a new thread and a 6 month restriction, my guess is that you tried to start a thread in the Marketplace. Yes, you need to be a member for 6 months to start at thread there, but that's not where you post looking for transfers. There's only one thread for that.

If the first post confused you, perhaps you should read it again, carefully, and come back here with any specific questions.

I'm not sure why you'd think I was offended. I just know that when someone is brand new here, is looking to participate in the P2P transfers thread, and then starts firing off 10-15 posts in the next hour or two, it often means they realize they need PM ability to post in the thread and think that will get it faster. It won't, and if you take it to the extreme of making a bunch of low/no content posts, it might get you banned. Just trying to save you some grief.

Is it just me or is there a lot of unusual trades/accounts finding willing trading partners lately? Seems like people with new 2020 accounts with 5-50 posts are not only finding trades, but sending second. Seems odd to me and I just wanted to know so others can keep an eye on it too, and wonder if anyone has been thinking the same.

There's a mini-boom happening and, thankfully, there haven't been too many scams lately, so caution is low.

Obviously people should be very careful when dealing with strangers on the internet, and I hope they are swapping and checking personal information, but if two new players are trying to trade, one has to take the risk and send first. As long as they don't send more than they can afford to lose in one go, then I guess what will be will have to be.

That's a fair point, Mike. My concern is more that two new accounts use each other to build up history, and then use that history to scam someone. I guess all we can really do is keep our eye out for things that don't look right, though.

i read the section about paypal being banned because they forbid gambling and its reversible but I could not find any relevant information about Venmo. Is discussing transfers involving venmo allowed on this site or are they also banned since Paypal owns them? Apologies if I just overlooked something discussing this

It's been brought to my attention by 2 members that someone has been trying to do trades using my name and using the fact I have a number of successful recent trades on the thread. Somehow this person has got these 2 members cell numbers and have therefore tried to avoid using the PM facility. They have used cashapp to try to scam. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES trade with someone pertaining to be me without using PM - it will not be me. I also do not use cashapp.

The cell number that was used for this attempted scam is: 323 523 5068 so please be aware should you receive any contact from it.

Admin: I appreciate there might be somewhere I need to post his information but given this has just happened and people are looking to trade for the Sunday grind I thought I should make members aware.

Was not using this thread, but recently communicated with this guy.

I had mentioned offhand elsewhere that I was going to do a small transfer for ACR and someone recommended I pm this guy because he recently had a successful trade with him so I could go direct to someone reputable.

Guy reports me to the mods as if I was trying to scam him for $100 despite that I both said I'd post publicly wherever appropriate if he accepted and that I'd send first.

When I asked him why he would do that, I got a bunch of very trolly and generally unpleasant responses like telling me to get a therapist etc. I was not being rude nor contentious, genuinely trying to understand why on earth someone would react the way he had reacted.

Would not recommend trading with guy, he's not mentally stable, thought I was part of some sting operation to get him banned, and acts like a 12 year old in general. Been a very unpleasant experience overall.

You omitted to mention that from his pov he received an unsolicited PM from you, someone who has never posted in the transfers thread before, asking him to trade for your Paypal - one of the big no-nos with regard to poker p2p trading.

I appreciate receiving his notification and I urge anyone else to forward any PMs they receive, about which they have any suspicions, to me.

At this time, I see absolutely no valid reason why people should not trade with Davidcopper22.

I am mentally unstable too, that should not be a reason not to trade with a person.

LOL to all this. From the "I don't understand life...and need explanations on why things happen".

This is simple. I have gotten some infractions lately for minor things in the P2P thread and don't want to get a ban. I get a unsolicited PM from this dude asking for Paypal.....

I've gotten infractions for PayPal, so I told Mike Haven about it so I didn't get caught on the backend like I have before. Trying to follow these strict rules.

Then this RickRoll just doesn't understand life and wants an explanation. Tells me used to be a Big Macau player and he has a big tech job..and Like yeah dude great story don't care.

Stop sending messages to people asking for PayPal. Maybe Facebook would be a better place for this.

He kept messaging me over and over again, like had to get the last word in and just was so confused how this could happen to him. Genuinely confused....

Simple stuff guys.
