As stew.robinson said, if you do your homework you should be relatively safe. I completed a trade recently but had to be patient to find the right person to send to first. Had a request from someone who actually also completed a trade in the trading thread after I decided not to go through with him due to lack of history. From my trade experience, there are plenty of people with trade history and are "marketplace approved" who are willing to make trades. The mods are very helpful in providing tips in not getting scammed and reading them all first will help.

Wary, yes. Probably don't send first. Trade in amounts that you can afford to lose. If they are offering money on a site, sit and chat with them, while they show they have the money offered. If they say their chat is barred, they are quite possibly impersonating a player they know that is playing but never chats. The old account here could possibly be hacked, or a sleeper. Search the SN for reported past alleged scams. Swap and check phone numbers.

Actually, just do the normal checks and take the normal precautions you should when considering a trade with any stranger on the internet. Maybe wait for a regular trader with a good past record.

I don't say this to be unkind, but if you need to ask this question, you may not be ready for trading yet.

It's the one exception to the rules. To add some validity to your request, you might choose perhaps to add your SN on your main site, or one with which you have traded successfully before.

Since I wrote that post, I think now it may be that you can obtain vouchers pretty much instantly, so pre-ordering a number of vouchers may not be necessary.

wondering if anyone Canadian players had any luck getting ACR money to US players and what payment methods used? I don't know anything about bitcoin so haven't been comfortable getting money off that way and the only other WD option is a $65 fee for a cheque. sent Acemonth $25 on cash app as a tester because I wanted $300... numerous excuses about they haven't received the money and will send screenshots and maybe I sent it to the wrong name(which I didn't) but nothing. This is the receipt from cash app that clearly shows the transaction as completed. After this they signed off and not answering. They only have 4 posts I should have never sent first but was desperate. But definitely a scammer.

trade not completed.. (SITONURFACEZ) was supposed to send me 75 zelle for my 75 ACR (apocalyptic). He said it would take 15m-30m and so far i have had no issues doing trades with him. Its now over 9 hrs no funds. Called bank they said he never sent anything. I am also not a new recepient so i don't what issue is cause its only 75 bucks. But I also am waiting to see screen shot of him actually sending me funds. Until I see or get my money you are warned not to send him funds.

Situation resolved. His bank account was frozen he unfroze it and paid.

I accept my naivety in this situation and I'm not looking for any sympathy but I don't want anyone else to go through what I've been through. And also want this guy to be named and shamed. I'm guessing these names/aliases might not even be him/belong to him, who knows, Party won't tell me anything but what I can tell you is:

Gordana pm'd me about an advert I had, I was sceptical because he had low post count. But he said he would transfer me the money first. He also wanted to only do small amounts to begin with because he wanted to make sure he didn't get scammed. With this in mind I thought the guy was legit and that there was very little chance of anything going wrong. We successfully traded $1300 in sort of $300ish blocks. Each time I would receive the money (from the same account-so nothing dodgy here). There were also a few days in between trading the first batch of money and the second batch which again filled me with more confidence, because I had literally been playing with the money and everything was all good.

And then doomsday, Party block my account. I am currently still under investigation and have no idea what is going to happen to my money. Gordana hasn't replied for days (just disappeared off the face of the earth) and it feels very much like I have been scammed here. After reading many similar threads it seems unlikely i'll get any money back but i'll wait and see what the outcome is. Party won't tell me anything. Only that I am under investigation for my activity relating to the account: grrgrrzap. Which was Gordana's account. I had previously traded with more reputable people for party $ and never had any issue.

Really worried im going to lose my money. But also accept that I was naive. Just want people to be aware.

And just remember guys, even if someone is sending first, doesn't mean you are safe. If it all turns out to be a misunderstanding I will delete the post so that Gordana isn't wrongfully shamed. But given the current situation and the fact that Gordana has gone from being online every day to falling of the face of the earth, I very much doubt that this is just crossed wires.

I know this isnt the thread for feedback per se, but if I have to take an infraction to save someone getting scammed I will. Yesterday Jzeroney tried to scam me by impersonating well known people. It's also not his first rodeo and I also have screenshots/chat logs if anyone wants/needs proof. Please don't trade with this guy.

DO NOT TRADE WITH jmpkh23 !! Sent him $40 zelle and he was supposed to send me 40 ACR (Muckleberryfinn). He responded by message the next day and said he would send that evening - never sent. Has stopped responding to messages.

yes, zelle is much more difficult to reverse, so you are less likely to get scammed
